B-Town celebs congratulate ‘Gully Boy’ team for making official entry in Oscars

Starring actors Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt, the Hindi film ‘Gully Boy’ follows the journey of an aspiring rapper from the Dharavi slums of Mumbai, fighting against the odds. This Bollywood film has made an official entry to the 92nd Academy Awards in the Best International Feature Film category.

While speaking to media, Bollywood Actress Radhika Apte said, ‘I think it is such a good film and I am very much excited and also hope that they get nominations in Oscars.’ Meanwhile, actor Rajkummar Rao said, ‘I am very proud of it and also a big fan of film ‘Gully Boy’. When it came out, I saw the trailer and it really touched me somewhere so I saw the film twice.’

While actor Aparshakti Khurana added, ‘The movie ‘Gully Boy’ is one of the best films of this year. It’s an apt choice to send to the Oscars and I have a half musician in me and I really cried while watching the film.’

Speaking to media persons, Anupria Goenka said, ‘I am a huge fan of ‘Gully Boy’ and also of Director Joya Akhtar and the way this film was made it is such a cult movie.’ ‘It is a proud moment for all of us and it really deserves to be presented on international level. Let’s hope, we bring the Oscar home,’ she added. (ANI)
