Mumbai (Maharashtra): After the Indian Air Force (IAF) carried out aerial strikes at Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) terror camps in Pakistan’s Balakot on early morning of Tuesday, security beefed up in Mumbai. In the wee hours of February 26, IAF jets dropped 1,000 kg bombs on terrorist camps across the Line of Control (LoC) through Mirage 2000 aircraft. This multirole combat fighter had proven to be a game changer during the Kargil War. The IAF calls it the Vajra, or thunderbolt, for its proven effectiveness as a precision bomber in addition to its interceptor capabilities.
