John Krasinski and Steve Carell Hint At a Possible Office Season 10 Renewal.
The Scranton gang could be coming back. In the world of revivals if The Office doesn’t get to have a glorious comeback, then what has it really been about?
The rumours started when NBC Chairman Robert Greenblatt revealed that he has been in contact with the show’s creator Greg Daniels about a potential new season.

Are we really getting a comeback from our favourite bunch?
The Office Never Really Ended
With great success and a cult following comes great responsibility. Greg Daniels mentioned that all his reservations about reviving the show boils down to one and one thing only: not wanting to disappoint the fans.
The last episode of The Office’s US aired on 16th May 2013 but the legacy of the show lives on. As a new generation grows up a new generation of fans emerge. The world of Scranton and the complex, lovable characters with politically incorrect jokes ‘round every corner haven’t just disappeared after the show ended.
As the show is available on Netflix there is an entire new generation who is watching the show only to fall in love with these characters. Also, as the show will continue to be on Netflix’s platform till 2021, so the prospects of the show to revive would only be possible after that.
Is Our Favourite Cast Up For It?
There is never a moment the cast isn’t being asked about the show or are talking about the show themselves.
Recently, during a video call(on Krasinski’s Instagram handle) between Steve Carell aka our favourite boss who we love to hate- Michael Scott and John Krasinski aka the goofball who we all fell in love with since the very first episode- Jim Halpert had a discussion about the probable revival. Both the actors said even the possibility is something that they are very excited about.
Ed Helms aka Andy tweeted saying that a chance for him to meet everyone and be in the Scranton universe is just too fun an opportunity to miss.
Jenna Fischer aka Pam and Angela Kinsley aka Angela, 15 years after the first episode have started an Office podcast that people tune in every week to watch and Mindy Kaling aka Kelly is still kicking ass.
So, is this all a hint for a possible revival waiting to happen or is the cast of the show hoping and praying for the same as their fans?
What Should We Expect?
The finale saw Dwight marrying Angela, Jim and Pam moving away from Scranton and Michael coming for just a cameo. (Did we mention Dwight and Jim part as brothers? ) With all that under the way, many people are wondering if a full season is what we should be expecting.
What holds the show together is even though the characters are poles apart, constantly disagreeing and fighting with each other but in the end are just one big happy dysfunctional family. And without this family together under one roof wanting to rip each other’s throats out, is it really worth it? (In a world where Jim is not pranking Dwight is a world where Dunder-Mifflin Paper Company does not exist.)
Moreover, John Krasinski when asked about a probable revival said that although seeing the cast reunite for a full-fledged season might be a difficult task but something like a Christmas Special seems like a good option. Which is actually not a bad option as a lot of channels are taking this route.
Recently, it was announced that another fan favourite and classic Friends is reviving for an hour special this summer.
So, is a revival actually in works? Are we in for the treat of a lifetime? Only time can tell but till then we’ll keep hoping. Let us know what you think in the comments below.
Honestly for us, we’d do anything to watch this mess of Dunder-Mifflin Family say a ‘That’s what she said’ again.
