Here’s what we know about El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie Sequel.
Jesse Pinkman’s Happy Ending After All
One of television’s favourite character Jesse Pinkman (Aaron Paul) has had it rough in the Breaking Bad saga. Writer and Creator Vince Gilligan probably agrees to the sentiment as he finally provided some closure for the audience in the two-hour long feature El Camino.

In the movie El Camino, we pick up right where we left off. The last we know about Jesse Pinkman is he is locked up in a compound cooking meth for white supremacists. In the movie El Camino, Jesse dreams of escaping the law, his captors and starting a new life.
Six years after the Breaking Bad finale, the audience watches with slow breaths as Jesse Pinkman escapes his personal hell with a new identity. Jesse hands new identity specialist Ed (Robert Forster) a letter to addressed to Brock Cantillo. Brock is the son of Andrea Cantillo, son of Jesse’s girlfriend who is murdered in the fifth season of Breaking Bad.

And with the help of Andrea’s son, the last scene of El Camino shows Jesse driving to Alaska in the hopes of starting a new life.
So, what is the sequel to El Camino going to be about?
El Camino: The Sequel To A Sequel
After getting major assistance from friends Skinny Pete (Charles Baker) and Badger (Matt L. Jones) Jesse stole his captor Todd’s (Jesse Plemons) money and escaped to Alaska. Along the way were western-style shootouts, fake-encounters but Jesse is finally living in Alaska under the name Mr. Driscoll where no one from his old life will ever catch him again or will they?
The best thing about the Breaking Bad universe has always been the characters we have gotten to witness. Whether it was Walter White himself or Skylar, Jesse, Marie or even Skinny Pete. Vince Gilligan’s mastermind made sure to wrap up only Jesse’s side of things when El Camino ended.
This leaves room open for the multiple characters we didn’t see the ends of in Breaking Bad or even Better Call Saul.
El Camino: Better Call Saul Movie
Now we all know Better Call Saul the spin-off series to Breaking Bad has preceded Breaking Bad in more ways than one. It’s an audience favourite and with it’s final season on the way one can expect a two-hour movie to put everything to rest.

Kim Wexler wife of Jimmy who later became Saul has turned out to be a badass, unpredictable and fan-favourite character of the series. But the disappointment is that we don’t get to see Kim in the Breaking Bad saga which means either the writers have planned an untimely death for her or her character is just getting started.
Netflix might be on-board with Vince Gilligan and Peter’s Gould master-plan to write a movie around Kim Wexler the notorious women that Broke Bad and turned Jimmy into the Saul we know him as.
Now that is something anyone would pay to watch. After all if we ever get see Kim v Walter in the same scene, we might just lose our minds. Netflix certainly won’t mind being a part of the project that makes TV history, will it?
