The fans of the show have always wondered about Eddie’s (Vanessa Ray) piqued out behaviour towards the Reagans. Was it just another enhancement to her character of a police officer or is she holding on to some grudges from the past?
The New York’s crime drama series about the Irish family of cops has not only managed to garner the audience’s attention but has also received some well-acclaimed reviews from the critics. With prominent actors such as Tom Selleck (Frank Reagan), Donnie Wahlberg (Danny Reagan), Amy Carlson (Linda Reagan), and Vanessa Ray (Eddie Janko), and the stirring storyline, the show has lived up to the expectations of its fans for 10 straight seasons. However, amongst all of this glory, fans were rather taken back by the bitter behaviour of Vanessa, our very own Eddie, towards the Reagans. Vanessa Ray’s statement about Eddie’s behaviour towards the Reagans
Well, it is not always easy for a girl to survive with her in-laws. Maybe due to the lack of understanding or just the age-difference, but, in the case of Eddie, it had a lot to do with her past experience. In an interview with “Hollywood Life”, Vanessa explained the reason behind her behaviour:
“Eddie had a beautiful relationship with her dad. It just turned out that she had to cover for him and she had to lie for him for all these years. So, to be with somebody who she doesn’t have to do that with is new to her, and I think there’s some times where she resents how lucky the Reagans are to have the life that they have.”
She further added,
“I think that’s difficult sometimes for her to not get to say everything she wants because she has to hold her tongue a lot of the time. She doesn’t relate to them. She doesn’t come from their world at all”.
What did Vanessa Ray feel about having a career as a police officer?

In the ‘Pink Lemonade Stand’ podcast hosted by Nicole Kaplan and Heidi Webster, Vanessa talked about how she is different from her character of a police officer in ‘Blue Bloods’. She said,
“Do I feel like I could be a real cop? Absolutely not. It is the hardest job in the world. They run toward problems instead of running away. It is high stakes; it is 0 to 100, 100% of the time. They’re heroes”.
Taking a look back at the season 10 of ‘Blue Bloods’
