Fans have stormed up the internet as Breaking Bad- the best show ever- has left us with some unanswered questions.
Ever since the neo-Western crime drama series ended, fans have had some big questions about Breaking Bad and the show’s characters that have been left unanswered. What happened to Walter White’s family? Did White really die? Did Jessie find happiness? Did the creators forget about Huell? Here are some questions that we all need answers to.
- Walter White Jr and the nine million dollars
- The end of Gray Matter and a long friendship
- Walt had other career options.
- Did Jesse ever get to see Brock again?
- Huell and his family moved into the safe house.
Did Walter White really die?
This is one of the most asked questions that Vince Gilligan needs to answer. In the final episode, the audience saw White succumb to gunshots from his own machine gun and was found by the police the next day. But did he really die or was that yet another act for something bigger in the future?
What happened to Walter White Jr.?
Walter White Jr. aka Flynn shared a very bitter relationship with his father. However he got his closure in the episode “Granite State“ which saw him yell at his father, refuse his money and wish for his death. Little did he know that his father had kept away some 9 million dollars that were to be given to him on his 18th birthday.
Now, what really happened to Flynn after Walter White’s death is unknown, perhaps a new season of Breaking Bad could explain it all.
Saul Goodman in Better Call Saul
Saul was a lawyer who always saw the good in people, especially in the criminals he represented. He was one of the major characters in the Breaking Bad series. Since he did not appear in the final episode of the series, we do not know how things end for him.
However thanks to the prequel Better Call Saul, we do know about whatever happened to him before his fate tied him to Walter White. Regardless, wouldn’t it be amazing to witness what the Gilligan universe has planned out for Goodman’s future?
What happened with Gray Matter?
Walt’s history with Gray Matter defines his entire character. He was the co-founder of the company that would make billions without him. This is probably why he always had so much pride and let his ego get the better of him.
What happened with Gray Matter was never explicitly shown but many scenes hint at a possible love triangle between Gretchen, Elliot, and Walt which probably caused a rift in their friendship. The showrunners probably made a good decision by not showing what exactly happened between them, but at the same time it has left so much room for curiosity.
Walt and his career options
The main plotline of the series was that a frustrated chemistry teacher becomes a drug kingpin. But how did he become a teacher? It is a known fact that Walt would’ve inherited millions from Gray Matter but besides that he was also an overly qualified chemistry teacher with various completed degrees. So, why he did try to pursue other career options is a big question that viewers have.
But there are also facts like Skyler getting pregnant while they were young and that affecting his career choice. Of course, later when he found out about his cancer, it probably made more sense to him to continue to do what he was best at. What could he have done if he were not a chemistry teacher?
Does Huell ever leave the safe house?
Huell was Saul’s special bodyguard who provided him with a variety of services, including personal protection, intimidation and pick-pocketing.
In season 5, Hank and Gomez took Huell to a safe house and very specifically told him not to leave or contact the outside world until they returned. However, they get killed, obviously making it impossible for them to get back to the safe house. So where does that leave Huell? Does he leave the safe house or does he invite his family to live with him over there?
Did Jesse ever get to see Brock again?
Jesse’s girlfriend was killed by Todd in order to teach him a lesson for trying to escape Aryan’s gang. While Angela’s death was one of the saddest moments in the show, the answer to whatever happened to Brock remains a mystery.
It is possible that after Jesse escaped in El Camino’s car, he fled to Alaska and on the way met his son. But no one will know for sure. Did he ever reconcile his relationship with his ex-girlfriend’s son?
When will Vince Galligan greenlight season 7?
When the season finale was released, Vince Galligan confirmed that it would be the end of the Breaking Bad series. However, a movie following up on Jesse Pinkman’s life was made. Consequently, a prequel of the show based on Saul Goodman’s life was created as well. Considering it’s 2020 now and BB has created a larger fan base than ever, it is quite possible that Vince Galligan might change his mind. Perhaps the pandemic might get the best of his creative side flowing.
