Two And A Half men was one of the most popular American sitcoms until backstage struggles took the spotlight and Charlie Harper had to be killed on the show. The show ran for 12 seasons, of which Charlie could only be a part of eight before the unfortunate incident happened.

Does he repent what he said?
It all started when way back in 2011, Sheen made several comments about Chuck Lorre, the creator. Continuing the tirade back in 2017, again on The Kyle And Jackie O show, he was heard ranting, “He’s the most miserable f*cking douchebag. The most talentless f*cking sack of sh*t of f*cking stupid this side of La Brea [a famous landmark in LA].” Sheen was dismissed from the show in 2011 following his erratic behaviour and was replaced on the show by Ashton Kutcher.
However, he says he repents all of that. Since those unfortunate incidents in 2011 and 2018, Sheen has been desperate to make amends with Lorre. When asked by the Today Show’s Richard Wilkinsin 2018 if he had made amends with Lorre, the star said, “’I haven’t in person. It is a thing I really want to mend.”

Sheen never really left the show
Harper left the show in season 8, but we have seen all the episodes revolving around him since. Two And A Half Men always kept bringing Charlie Harper to the show— first, when his spirit comes to visit Alan after he faces a minor heart attack; second, in the finale.

Sheen seems to be more excited about a revival
Sheen was the first one who pitched the idea of a reboot. When ABC Entertainment pulled the plug on the Roseanne, Sheen took to the Twitter to pitch his idea.
Have a look at the tweet here.
In the April of 2019, when asked about the revival of the show, he was heard saying, “I think as long as everybody involved is alive and kicking, then there’s definitely a possibility”. He added, “Of course [I would like it to], because there’s a trend towards reboots these days, and I think that would be one that folks might tune in for. It doesn’t have to go on for another five years, it would just be nice to do a couple of seasons and end it as it should have”.
He managed to cheat death twice
Charlie Harper managed to escape death twice. First, he died off-screen in a train accident in France in 2011. But we all know about the rule book of TV; no one is actually dead unless we see a body. Hence, an apparent Charlie made a comeback in the finale of the show, but before he could turn around and show his face to the audience, he gets killed again with a piano falling on his head. But we didn’t see the body again, did we?

The show did not end up very highly appreciated by critics, but that does it mean it didn’t do well. It swept away TV ratings and on the day of the finale, February 19, 2015, the show saw a viewership of 13.52 million, even without Sheen. So you can definitely presume as to what the ratings will be if Sheen comes back. According to “TV Guide”, Lorre wants to bring the two leading men of the show and honour both the eras.
While fans are ever ready to watch Charlie Harper back on the show, we feel that there is still enough time for that. The wait may or may not be long. Let us know your thoughts on the revival of the show in the comment section below!
