In the age of all kinds of reboots, it is time for ‘Two and a Half Men’ to get its own and we are super excited! With Charlie Sheen out and Ashton Kutcher in, we may get to see Mila Kunis as a part of ‘Two and a Half Men’ reboot.
Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis first met in the sets of ‘That 70s Show’ as teenagers, before they fell in love some twenty years later. A reboot of ‘Two and a Half Men’ might bring them back as a TV couple and we can’t wait for that to happen.

‘Two and a Half Men’– Turning a new leaf
Chuck Lorre’s ‘Two and a Half Men’ made its first appearance on TV in 2003 and immediately took the TV industry by storm. The show gained devoted followers overnight and soon the viewership was skyrocketing. The show was the first of its kind in American sitcom history and the audience could not help but appreciate the freshness of the theme. ‘Two and a Half Men‘ followed the ridiculously hilarious lives of two brothers, one a womanizer and the other a loser. The two brothers in the show are Charlie and Alan Harper while the half-man is Alan’s son, Jake Harper. The amusing lives of the Harper men gave the show enviable popularity.
Although everything was hunky-dory in the lives of the Harper men for a few years, initially, soon things slowly began to fall apart. Charlie Sheen, the actor who played Charlie Harper in the show, became a victim to substance abuse. It was not long before Lorre grew tired of Sheen’s offensive behaviour and fired him for his actions. ‘Two and a Half Men’ went on for 12 years and though it has had a bumpy ride, the possibility of a reboot has always been on the mind of the fans.

Ashton Kutcher as one of the ‘Two and a Half Men’
With Charlie Harper being killed off in season 8 of the show, ‘Two and a Half Men’ was short of one and Ashton Kutcher was introduced as Walden Schmidt to bring the numbers back up to their place. The first episode of season 9 shows Alan as he discovers Walden Schmidt while preparing to spread the ashes of Charlie on the beach. Walden is a billionaire who attempts suicide because of his divorce and Alan takes him to a bar to drown both their miseries in alcohol. The next morning, Walden informs Alan about his intention to buy Charlie’s house and, further into the season, Alan moves in with Walden as the both of them develop a parasitic relationship similar to the one that Alan had with Charlie. Although fans were sceptical about the introduction of Ashton in the show’s dynamic at first, they were soon comfortable seeing him dilly-dallying around. With Walden restoring the show’s honour, a reboot for ‘Two and a Half Men’ wouldn’t be a bad idea.

The Kutcher-Kunis reunion dilemma
Not only the off-screen chemistry of Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis but their on-screen chemistry also gets us knocked off our feet. Ashton and Mila’s on-screen debut in ‘That 70s Show’ made it evident that the two are made for each other. Their chemistry, even as a teenage reel couple, was steamy and off the charts. With Ashton Kutcher now being an integral part of the American sitcom, ‘Two and a Half Men’, it is tempting to want to see Mila Kunis playing her part in a reboot of the show. Nevertheless, as much as we want to see an Ashton-Mila reunion, a reboot for ‘Two and a Half Men’ is not in the talks yet.
It has been clever of ‘Two and a Half Men’ to introduce Ashton Kutcher as a replacement for Charlie Sheen and we have to admit, nobody could have done it better. Five years later, here we are, hoping that somebody picks up America’s favourite sitcom for a reboot.
