Tom Cruise’s Mission Impossible 7 Climax filming halted in Venice for a serious reason
It has been reported that the team of MI7 including Tom Cruise arrived in Venice, Italy to begin filming for one of the sequences in the film. However, the shooting was suspended by Paramount Pictures in light of the Coronavirus outbreak in the city.
Tom Cruise, who arrived on 20th Feb is reportedly still stuck in the Hotel Gritti Palace. Though none of the members of the team has been reported to be infected, still the production house didn’t want to take any chance. The city is under total lockdown and might remain in the way for few coming days, that’s why it seems the filming of the movie will see a great deal of latency.
Carnival Sequences halted by Coronavirus
Simon Pegg, who plays Benji in Mission Impossible said — “(We’re) not in Venice, that’s where I’m supposed to be. Paramount was very cautious and sensible I think and pulled the production out of Venice. It’s a big group of people, we were shooting carnival sequences and it was just unwise to remain so we bugged out.”
Paramount Studios is being appreciated for this move where they decided to halt the entire shooting schedule to keep the people and its team safe.
“Out of an abundance of caution for the safety and well-being of our cast and crew, and efforts of the local Venetian government to halt public gatherings in response to the threat of coronavirus, we are altering the production plan for our three-week shoot in Venice, the scheduled first leg of an extensive production for ‘Mission: Impossible 7,”— Paramount said.
“During this hiatus, we want to be mindful of the concerns of the crew and are allowing them to return home until production starts. We will continue to monitor this situation, and work alongside health and government officials as it evolves.”
We’ll pray for the safety of people in Venice and around the world. And we’re defiantly waiting for our MI team to get back on track. Tom Cruise’s Mission Impossible 7 climax is set to be grander and punchier, and Venice’s magnificence would defiantly be a cherry on the cake for it.
