The Chris Hemsworth character is one of the most powerful Avengers. He saved the world by helping defeat Thanos. But now, the actor is getting more and more concerned about Aquaman’s world.
As the world is getting more concerned over plastic pollution, the Thor actor has joined hands to save Aquaman and his world. Chris Hemsworth shared startling numbers as he urged people to join hands in cleaning up the oceans. (If you too are interested in helping out, read on to know how)
Aquaman’s world is in danger from plastic, Thor is here to the rescue

If you got around to watching the Aquaman movie, you would have noticed how strongly the whole script condemns pollution of the planet’s waters. (On top of that, when pollution is plastic, it is even more permanent.) While Atlantis was angry and raised their concern over the massive amounts of ocean pollution (plastic and otherwise), our real-world, too, is struggling with the very same concerns.
But thankfully, we have superheroes to the rescue. Thor and Aquaman actors are, in fact, heroes in real life. They are strongly using their popularity to save the world from dying early.
Chris Hemsworth Against Plastic
Recently, Avenger’s Thor actor, Chris Hemsworth shared a petition to fight against Ocean Plastic. He shared some disturbing data along with a link to signuptocleanup.org where people can volunteer to help. “Around the world, our ocean is facing a major threat—#oceanplastic. Plastic has been found in 59% of sea birds, 100% of sea turtle species, and more than 25% of fish sampled from seafood markets around the world. Help protect our ocean and the millions of species that call it home. Become an ocean hero and volunteer on September 21st at signuptocleanup.org”
Goodbye Drogo, Aquaman; It’s time to save the Earth
Though the Thor actor has come to save Aquaman’s home, the Aquaman actor isn’t far behind. Earlier this year, Jason Momoa (who is also famously known by his role of Game of Throne’s Khal Drogo) decided to utilise a ‘huge’ change in his style to divert attention to the troubling cause.
When you have millions of Instagram followers, and you are planning to shave off your iconic beard, you need to do it the Aquaman way!
Jason Momoa shaved off his famous facial hair that he had adorned since 2012 “to bring awareness that plastics are killing the planet.” In fact, he also shared a clip of shedding “the” beard.
“Goodbye DROGO, AQUAMAN, DECLAN, BABA…”
Are you too a hero like Thor and Aquaman? Or do you yearn to be? Many celebrities from various spheres of lives are spreading awareness about ‘plastic pollution’. It is a concern that concerns us all.
