The maker of the series, Julian Fellowes has developed a miniseries for Netflix called The English Game. Fellowes has borrowed exactly the same elements from his previous hit show Downton Abbey. In the final episode, the upper-class Etonian boys are being defeated by the working class Blackburn. Eventually, the Blackburn win the match scoring two goals against one by the Etonians. The series pays a special homage to Fergus Sutter and Jimmy Love recognizing them as pioneers of modern football.
