‘The Office’ Season 10 reboot on the cards
Starring Steve Carell, Rainn Wilson, John Krasinski, Jenna Fischer, Ed Helms, Angela Kinsey, Mindy Kaling, B.J Novak, and many more, ‘The Office’ Season 10 is expected to return to our screens in 2021. Although, the show is renewing its streaming service from Netflix to NBC.
The anticipation around this epic workplace comedy grew so wild that ‘The Office’ fan Nick Janicki scripted a 24-episode, 900-page fan fiction forseason 10 of the popular NBC comedy.
There hasn’t been any official announcement from NBC so far, but there are talks of a Christmas special theme as part of season 10. In conversation with “IndieWire”, John Krasinski spoke about the idea in March 2018.
“I think the UK thing that I always have pitched and wanted to do is that Christmas special thing, where we do a Christmas special this year and then two years from now, or three years from now, we do another one.” He continued, “I love that idea, coming back finding out where everybody is. I would totally be down for that”.
‘Space Force’ to bring together comedy giants Lisa Kudrow and Steve Carell
Not just ‘The Office’ Season 10, but Steve Carell has another sitcom up his sleeve. ‘Space Force’ is a workplace comedy following a group of people who have been given the task to establish The United States Space Force, the sixth branch of the U.S Armed Forces. Along with stalwarts Steve Carell and Lisa Kudrow, the show also stars John Malkovich, Ben Schwartz, Diana Silvers, and Tawny Newson as part of the ensemble cast.

Steve Carell co-created the show with ‘The Office’ developer Greg Daniels. Carell plays 4-star General Mark. R. Naird, who has been assigned to lead the ‘Space Force’.
For this, Mark uproots his family and moves to a remote base in Colorado where he and his team of scientists are thrust with the task of achieving total space dominance. Kudrow joined the cast to play Carell’s wife Maggie Naird, who had been transforming herself for over 20 years to fit into her husband’s career but has now chosen to walk on a different path.
Since its Netflix release, fans have been going gaga over Carell and Kudrow’s chemistry and comic timing. So much so, that Netflix has already greenlit ‘Space Force’ for a second season. Does this mean we will get to see the dynamic duo pumping up the madness in ‘The Office’ Season 10 as well?
‘The Office’ Season 10: What lies ahead for the Kudrow-Carell comic duo?
A mockumentary on office stereotypes and politics, ‘The Office’ has been winning hearts because of its quirky characters and their peculiarities. Leading the quirk pack, Steve Carell as Michael Scott has become a household name across the globe.
Similarly, the indomitable queen of quirk Lisa Kudrow personified the word “weird” as Phoebe Buffay in the historic sitcom ‘Friends’. No doubt, Kudrow will be the perfect fit in ‘The Office’ Season 10. With most of its main cast reprising, the cast of ‘The Office’ Season 10 could see the entry of new actors, to add more depth, dimension, and create new plotlines.
Although NBC hasn’t given a nod to Kudrow’s addition to the cast of ‘The Office’ Season 10, one can never say never in the world of television and web. Steve’s Carell’s comeback in season 9 was under speculation, but ultimately he did.
Michael Scott returned to be the best man at Dwight and Angela’s wedding, all thanks to Jim. Now, with Dwight as the new manager at Dunder Mifflin, new subplots can be developed concerning the fate of the company and their personal obstacles.
Nonetheless, if ‘The Office’ Season 10 does make a comeback in the near future, that too with Lisa Kudrow, the series will definitely be worth a watch. But in case it doesn’t,
“A crushing blow? Yes. Will I get over it? No. But life goes on.” – Dwight.
