‘Sons of Anarchy’ is coming back, and it is confirmed. Even though the show ended six years ago, fans haven’t stopped requesting a revival. And it turns out, some good news is in store for the fans.
The news that ‘Sons of Anarchy’ is coming back has ruffled, not some but many feathers. The crime-drama ended back in 2014 but not without a vague promise of a comeback hanging in the air.
Highlights:
- The not-so-original ‘Sons of Anarchy’ sequel
- The ‘First 9’ is old, like really old
- ‘Sons Of Anarchy’ Season 8: Details
Well, its creator and showrunner Kurt Sutter has been hinting at two more shows from the ‘Sons of Anarchy’ world, one that would include a sequel to the show. He added that he views the show as the first part of a four-part series.
What shows is the creator making, and how are they related to the original ‘Sons of Anarchy’? Let’s find out!
The not-so-original ‘Sons Of Anarchy’ sequel
Nearly six years later, after ‘Sons of Anarchy’ rode off on their motorcycles, Kurt Sutter has ignited rumours of a sequel for the show. Sutter has been putting the lockdown to good use by answering fans’ questions on twitter.
And when asked about how Abel’s destiny is going to play out, he replied by telling the fans that there will be two more shows – ‘First 9’ and ‘Sam Crow’ – taking place. ‘First 9’ will follow the original nine members of the ‘Sons of Anarchy’ motorcycle club and will be a limited series.

The series will comprise nine episodes, with possibly every episode focusing on each founding member of the motorcycle club. But for all of you wondering, he also clarified that it would cross over with ‘Sons of Anarchy’.
So, what should we expect from the prequel?

The ‘First 9’ is old, like really old
If you were wondering about catching a glimpse of Charlie Hunnam in ‘First 9’, hold your horses. The show will be set in the 1960s and will include John Teller, who is the father of Charlie Hunnam’s character Jax Teller.
‘First 9’ will begin in Vietnam with John Teller and Piney Winston. Fans have heard many references to Vietnam in ‘Sons of Anarchy’, and it would only be fit to tell a story from the very beginning.
The show would then focus on John and Piney, making their way back to America and finding the motorcycle club. It will also introduce Gemma before Jax is born.
However, in spite of this, no official date has been set for its release and Sutter himself doesn’t have an answer for it.
What does it mean for Jax? Will we ever get to see a sequel with his story?
‘Sons of Anarchy’ Season 8: Details
We all know that Jax’s story isn’t done yet. Sutter in the same twitter thread mentioned that he is keen to make a direct sequel for ‘Sons of Anarchy’ provided that there is still an audience to watch it. (Well, there is!)
The sequel would revolve around Jax Teller’s sons, Abel and Thomas after they discover who their father is and what he did during his life. But, as of right now, Sutter is focused on bringing ‘First 9’ to fruition.
Well, that is a lot of ‘Sons of Anarchy’ content coming our way, and we are not complaining. The only question is, when do we get to see it?
