American fantasy comedy series on television The Good Place refreshed for a Season 5 by the NBC?
The series that premiered in September 2016 will now leap into its fifth season in the year 2021 giving us a spectacular run of five years. Though there is no official announcement on it, speculations around it are high. Earlier, NBC had announced that the fourth season of The Good Place will be it’s final. But have they changed their minds after a successful fourth season?

Fans complained that they were not very happy with season 4’s finale episode and demanded a better ending to the show. Citing this as a reason, the makers of the show can make-a-call on extending the show for one more season for a ‘perfect ending.’

About the show
Created by Michael Schur, the series focuses on Eleanor Shellstrop who wakes up in the afterlife. She is introduced to ‘The Good Place’ by Michael, who is the architect of the place. The Good Place is a Heaven-like place designed for righteous people. However, soon Eleanor realizes that she has been sent to this place as a mistake and in order to survive, she must hide her perfectly immoral behaviour.

Thus, aiming to become morally and ethically a better person. D’Arcy Carden as Janet is an AI-backed robot. She has all the information in the given world and can generate any piece of info at any given time. Basically, she can take out anybody’s past present or future within seconds. The show is joined by other co-inhabitants played by Manny Jacinto, William Jackson Harper and Jameela Jamil.

Soon she realizes she is in the ‘Bad Place’ where they are subjected to emotional and psychological suffering. As time passes, the gang begins to exit The Good Place and end their existence.

Since Season 4 ended no proper conclusion and justification for each character, the fifth season will be a continuation from here on. It is too soon to expect the plot but in any case, Season 4 ended on a huge cliffhanger.
