The director of the show Mark Cendrowski had reasserted that the reason for announcing a subsequent season will solely depend on the economics. If the economics of the show works great and there’s enough fan demand vested in season 13, pulling another season will be a compelling idea.

What makes the show so popular?
The science-based television sitcom is more than a decade old and has a loyal fan-base. The show is primarily loved for its impeccable way of portraying serious ‘science stuff’ in a comical manner. While the majority of the characters are scientists, each character has managed to carve their own niche audiences, which works an advantage for the show.
Leonard Hofstadter is clearly the most self-aware character. Playing a nerd in the series, Leonard is never ashamed of his geeky knowledge.

Sheldon Cooper is another bemusing character who is a genius and yet comes across as very arrogant. His baffling understanding of human behaviour leaves the audiences in splits, along with his witty one-liners. Sheldon and roommate Leonard are physicists who work at the California Institute of Technology.
Penny, played by Kaley Cuoco, essays the role of Sheldon and Leonard’s neighbour who lives just across the hall. The success of the show owes to the geeky culture weaved into the cultural fabric prevalent now. The show resulted in the acceptance of everything “geeky”.

The possibility of ‘The Big Bang Theory’ Season 13
A reported 18 million people had tuned into their television sets to view the final episode of season 12 on CBS. Season 12 ended with Amy and Sheldon winning a Nobel Prize, Penny and Leonard’s announcement of having a baby, Raj bagging himself a date with Sarah Michelle Gellar, and Howard and Bernadette revealing the face of their children for the first time.
There has not been any official announcement yet, but as the showmaker said it is a question of economics. Meanwhile, there is no stopping fans from theorizing about plot lines and twists for a possible season 13. Just the notion of ‘The Big Bang Theory’ Season 13 has the fans’ expectations soaring high.
Also, when fans last heard that the show was being taken off the air, it took fans a good amount of time to cope with the withdrawal symptoms of the show’s exit. We hope that the showmakers take cognizance of this and try to fulfil the demands of the fans.
