While India’s win against Afghanistan was nothing but magical, many people criticised Dhoni. This was a result of a snail-speed inning. The cricketer could only get 28 runs out of 52 balls. But the people who criticised were not limited to the common audience. Sachin Tendulkar too was in the list. Besides, Tendulkar said that Dhoni being a senior player wasted too many balls. After this, Twitter blasted with trolls of both the players. In fact, the fans of the two players got into a Twitter war.
Sourav Ganguly backs Dhoni after Tendulkar’s criticism
Later, ex-captain Sourav Ganguly came to Dhoni’s aid. He said that he will come back stronger and must not be judged only on the basis of one game. “At the end of the day, MSD is a very good batsman and he will definitely prove that in this year’s World Cup 2019 as well despite his sticky form against Afghanistan. It’s just one match.”
