With her new album ‘Lover,’ the singer lets the world know she is over her drama with Kanye West
Taylor Swift is known to express herself through her tracks. She is continuing the ritual with her latest album’s opening song, “I Forgot You Existed.” This, in fact, is the perfect transition from the Reputation era into the new one that Taylor now owns. Her fans have not forgotten her public and extremely bitter feud with Kim Kardashian and her husband, Kanye West.
Taylor Swift’s last album tracks were mostly about her spat with Kim and Kanye
Continuing where she left off, the 29-year old starts her new album, Lover, by her letting everyone know that she is done with the drama and is now moving on. Even before one dives into the lyrics of the song, the title itself gives the crux away. No more haters are going to come across her mind anymore.

Taylor Swift talks about the downfall of her reputation as she sings the track, “I forgot that you got some popcorn as soon as my rep started going down, down, down.” No, she does not make any specific references to Kanye West. But, well, it’s not hidden from anyone that their feud left her feeling betrayed.
In fact, Taylor Swift actually mentions Drake in the first verse of her track. In her own words, “I couldn’t get away from ya, in my feelings more than Drake.”
But in a nutshell, this Taylor Swift track focuses on the fact that she has finally stopped letting Kanye and others get to her. She sings in the chorus, “I forgot that you existed.”
Furthermore, Taylor Swift sings in the track, “I thought that it would kill me but it didn’t, and it was so nice, so peaceful and quiet, I forgot that you existed, it isn’t love, it isn’t hate, it’s just indifference.”
