The Pancake Batter Anomaly
Season 1 Episode 11 titled ‘The Pancake Batter Anomaly’ starts with Sheldon beating Leonard at 3-D chess. That’s when Sheldon quips at Leonard saying, “Must be humbling to suck on so many different levels.” However, that’s when Penny enters Sheldon and Leonard’s apartment after returning from a vacation from Nebraska.
Penny, Sheldon and Leonard get chatty about her vacations when Penny confesses they couldn’t have much fun as the entire family was down due to viral. Sheldon begins to get panicky and starts to sanitize his apartment and maintains at least 5 feet distance from her.
To the Big Bang Theory fans, it’s a common knowledge that Sheldon is a germaphobe. He’s very particular, rather obsessive about his cleaning habits.
Sheldon begins to pen down symptoms that Penny is carrying with her, of which, constant nose blow is one. Days later Sheldon gets ill and blames Penny for it. Meanwhile, Penny sings “soft kitty, warm kitty” to comfort him. It the same song Sheldon’s mother would sing to him when he would fall ill.
