‘Supernatural’ Season 15 to get two finales
The outbreak of coronavirus impacted the world at large, with the entertainment industry being hit especially hard. This has completely upended the production of both movies and television shows, with many of the latter having been cranking out final episodes for their seasons.
The CW’s long-running ‘Supernatural’ planned to conclude with season 15 this spring. But, it is not going too soon. It will have a rare chance of getting two finales.
May 18th, 2020 was the intended release date for the long-awaited final episode of the show. But the series ended on March 23rd after the airing the 13th episode of 15th season, which has been confirmed as the show’s last episode “for a while”.
The show had shot up to the season’s 18th episode. ‘Supernatural’ could not pull the curtains on 18th May and has got a new lease of life. The creators are planning to add another season, that is ‘Supernatural’ Season 6, before bidding adieu forever. And lately, they have found the reason to revive the series for another season.

Julie Plec hints at dream crossover of ‘Legacies’ with ‘Supernatural’
Unlike others, The CW shows, which are simply opting to abbreviate their seasons, ‘Supernatural’ will eventually produce its remaining season. The CW will likely market these remaining episodes as an entirely separate season. By the time the episodes resume production, it will likely be time for the newest season of television shows to begin.
The CW will make the most of this situation and make the remaining episodes into a new season. To add some more fodder to ‘Supernatural’ Season 16, Julie Plec may finally accept the crossover offer from the ‘Supernatural’ team.
Cinemablend mentioned earlier, Julie was having two minds about the ‘Supernatural’ and ‘Legacies’ crossover event. She wasn’t able to decide how she will bring the two series together. She feared that if the crossover follows on the theme of ‘Supernatural’, her show ‘Legacies’ will get darker.
But, the showdown has given enough time to her to think of a better plot for the crossover. Julie has apparently said yes to the dream crossover between ‘Supernatural’ and ‘Legacies’. If there is even a bit of truth in these rumours, then the future is bright for ‘Supernatural’ Season 16.
Every official update on ‘Supernatural’ Season 16
For now, The CW and the creators of ‘Supernatural’ have kept mum on season 16. There’s no official news from Julie Plec and the team of ‘Legacies’ regarding the crossover event with ‘Supernatural’.
But, it is expected that the crossover will be accommodated with the remaining episodes. And, it will be served as a package in season 16.
