Metro man wrote a letter to PM Modi and attacked AAP’s move for free metro rides for women
In a letter to the metro man, Manish Sisodia confronted his misunderstandings on the Delhi government’s proposal. Earlier, E Sreedharan had written a grave letter to PM Modi. Further, he asked the PM to reject the Delhi government’s proposal of free metro travel for women.
If nothing else, the Delhi government’s proposal of free rides is undoubtedly enhancing the postal service revenue of India.
Later, a shocked and hurt Manish Sisodia responded to the matter. But he explained his stand calmly and logically in a letter to the metro man. Furthermore, he requested the E Sreedharan to “bless” APP’s cause.

He further explained how the metro is running in losses. Moreover, he explained that despite the capacity of 40 lakh passengers per day, it only carries 25 lakh.
All this is in response to the announcement made by the Delhi government. He had proposed the idea of free travel for women in Delhi Metro and DTC buses. While the move was not welcomed by some, others welcomed it with open arms and suggestions.
Besides, DMRC is a 50-50 partnership between the center and the state. Seeing this opportunity to influence the decision, Metro Man raised his concerns through a letter. He said that the PM’s ‘personal intervention’ was mandatory. Moreover, he claimed that this move could drive Delhi Metro to bankruptcy.
