While the last weeks had been like a dream for Coco Gauff, her bubble popped after she faced Simona Halep 6-3, 6-3
But with her loss, she taught the world a lesson in sportsmanship. Coco āCoriā Gauff promised that she would come back better and stronger than this year.
āIām only 15. Iāve not nearly gotten or developed my game. I started tennis at six. Iām so excited to see if I continue to work hard, what other success I can have in the future.ā
Coco Gauff was the world number 319 when she entered the tournament. And after three mind-blowing victories, she has jumped up t0 139 as per the WTA rankings. Not only this, but she has also won Ā£176,875 in prize money
āItās crazy how big this has gotten,ā she said. āIf somebody told me this maybe three weeks ago, I probably wouldnāt believe it. I learned a lot, and I still had fun even though I was losing.ā
