The tennis star was shown the door at Cincinnati Masters after his fastest defeat in 16 years
Roger Federer fans were all left in shock as he was defeated and saw his way out of Cincinnati Masters. But the shock was elevated when they came to face the numbers. The 62 minute defeat was Roger’s fastest in 16 years! And the 20 time grand slam winner lost to Russian qualifier Andrey Rublev.

Federer, who has, in fact, won this event seven times before, was opponent to the 21-year-old for the first time. And the Swiss tennis star was surely left flabbergasted! He said that he was surely impressed with the strength of the Andrey’s game.
In Roger Federer’s own words, “He was super clean. Defense, offense, serving well. Didn’t give me anything. He was everywhere. It was tough for me, but an excellent match by him.”
Though he has lost at the Cincinnati Masters, he is thankful that he came out injury-free. And he is now already looking forward to the US Open. Now we just have to wait and watch if he talks home the grand slam.
