- All we loved in ‘The Big Bang Theory’
- Kaley Cuoco is set to appear in ‘Young Sheldon’ Season 4
- Is Kaley Cuoco more than just Penny to Sheldon Cooper?
Let’s talk about the big bang!
‘The Big Bang Theory’ is one of the few great shows that transitioned gracefully from the era of live TV to being streamed. It will also possibly be remembered as the last major sitcom to draw high ratings on live TV.
Although the younger generation has switched to streaming shows, ‘The Big Bang Theory’ managed to retain the viewer’s interest, continuously drawing large ratings on live TV till the very end.
A pure treat for geeks, it was more than just a nerdiverse. The show was also immensely popular for the ‘Dragons & Dungeons’, ‘Star Wars’, and ‘Star Trek’ aficionados. But the real reason people loved it was because of the brilliant cast, witty dialogues, and a portrayal of the people so human, you’d resonate with them.
To pick just the main characters and call the rest of the cast supporting characters would seem unfair.
In fact, even though Leonard (played by Johnny Galecki) is seen in love with Penny (played by Kaley Cuoco), from the very beginning, it’s the chemistry between Sheldon (played by Jim Parsons) and Penny whose unique sibling affection really comes unexpectedly and steals the show.
To ship a love interest in a show is common but to be equally excited about watching two friends who don’t share much in common is what proves just how great ‘The Big Bang Theory’ is. Here is their last interview on “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert”.
Why Kaley Cuoco?
Many fans only know of Kaley Cuoco as ‘The Big Bang Theory’s’ Penny, but according to CBS, Kaley was spotted by modelling agents when she was just five years old – where she began to star in commercials, cameos, and finally got her big break on ‘8 Simple Rules for Dating My Teenage Daughter’.
In 2007, the world then saw Kaley take on the iconic role of Penny that went on to change Kaley’s life. Kaley won two People’s Choice Awards and one Critics’ Choice Television Award for ‘The Big Bang Theory’. “Forbes” states that Kaley is now one of the world’s highest-paid TV actresses.
On May 17th, Kaley Cuoco posted a photo of ‘The Big Bang Theory’ cast on Instagram with the description “A year ago today we aired our BBT series finale … people ask me every day, was it hard to move on? Was I sad? Happy? How could I do anything else after? How would it compare? Do I miss it? The truth is, the show changed my life in 100 different ways and no matter where my career takes me, I will always owe it to this show and the brains behind it”, marking the anniversary of the show’s end.
But it looks like the world of ‘The Big Bang Theory’ is not saying bye to Kaley yet.
‘Young Sheldon’ to save the day.
‘The Big Bang Theory’ may have said goodbye to the screens. But CBS’ ‘Young Sheldon’ saved the day. The show gives fans an insight into Sheldon Cooper’s (played by Iain Armitage) younger years at high school, his family, and upbringing. In many shows, the narrators are always laden with mystery but every fan knew Jim Parson when his voice aired with the show and it came as no surprise that fans immediately jumped ship.
But it finally looks like there is more to the show than just the original Sheldon. In the last season, fans hear a voice from the pool trying to lure little Sheldon in and they speculated that it did sound like Kaley Cuoco, which Steven Molaro, the show’s producer confirmed.
According to “Express”, he said, “That was absolutely the voice of Kaley as pool water. I needed someone to do the voice. I knew I wanted it to be female and kinda sexy, and I said, ‘Well, duh! Kaley is perfect for this’”.
It looks, for the first time, a star will physically appear on the show. Yep! we’re saying that Kaley Cuoco is set to appear in ‘Young Sheldon’ Season 4.
Steve goes on to explain, “I said, ‘Hey, I have a weird pitch for you: Sheldon has a nightmare, and he has to go to this pool, and he speaks to the pool water. Do you want to be the voice of pool water?’ She just laughed and said, ‘Absolutely, I do’”.
So, there we have it, tell us which other stars you want, apart from Kaley Cuoco, to appear in ‘Young Sheldon’ Season 4?
