Penny and Leonard could give birth to a mini-Sheldon, who would, everyone’s hoping, take their mother’s revenge on the gang!
‘The Big Bang Theory‘ operates on a very simple premise, which follows the escapades of four socially inept geniuses and a beautiful, blonde waitress. Sheldon Cooper (Jim Parsons), Leonard Hofstadter (Johnny Galecki), Raj Koothrapali (Kunal Nayyar), and Howard Wolowitz (Simon Helberg) often get a free pass, even though they are terribly prejudiced against Penny (Kaley Cuoco). Penny is heralded as Leonard’s love interest from the first episode itself, the same day on which he announces that their children would be “smart and beautiful“. The rest of the seasons too seemed to endeavour at fulfilling his character’s wish, focusing on the story of their relationship.

- How can Penny give birth to a mini-Sheldon?
- Penny’s genius child to take her revenge
- Will there be a season 13 of ‘The Big Bang Theory’?
Unlike the other “intelligent” women on the show, Penny is treated poorly and often mocked for the lack of her college degree. She’s seen as someone with no ambition and is never taken seriously. She comforts the men around her, and her worth is almost always centred around how attractive she is. It would be astounding to see Penny and Leonard’s child, a mini-Sheldon, putting everything the boys have ever said about her to shame! Keep reading to see how.
How can Penny give birth to a mini-Sheldon?
Penny’s child can be a genius but that doesn’t mean he has to be a mini-Sheldon! Her street smart quality and Leonard’s scientific gifts are more than enough to be a match for Sheldon Cooper! If the show had been renewed for season 13 (we are still hoping it will), it would certainly follow Penny and Leonard’s adorable child who’d outsmart everyone. Are you wondering if that’s even possible? It is! We’ve already seen how similar Sheldon and Leonard’s mother Beverly Hofstadter are! They even relate to each other a lot more than Leonard and his mother do. Nothing is impossible in a Chuck Lorre sitcom, and the introduction of a mini-Sheldon would make things a lot more interesting.

Either Penny and Leonard could have a mini-Sheldon … or Sheldon and Amy could have a mini-Penny … or worse, a mini-Leonard. Can you imagine Sheldon Cooper’s face when his child tells him that he/she wants to be an experimental physicist?
Penny’s genius child to take her revenge
For 12 seasons, Penny’s character has been laughed about and mocked. The showrunners didn’t even deem her character important enough to have a last name. It’s unbelievable how many times the boys got away by stereotyping Penny and calling her a free-loader!
The series has been really unfair to Penny, even though her character has grown tremendously through the seasons. There’s only so much you can play into the “dumb blonde” stereotype, and fans think the show pushed it too far. She’s always being patronized by the gang, or looked upon as an attractive object to be ogled at.
In the later seasons, Penny announces her decision of not wanting to have children, which the show doesn’t pay heed to. Her character makes the pregnancy announcement suddenly, and she is just expected to be happy with her life which is going to change completely. So, if Penny’s child was just as smart as the four geeks she spends all her time around, she’d get the last laugh.
Will there be a season 13 of ‘The Big Bang Theory’?
‘The Big Bang Theory‘ showrunner Chuck Lorre has announced on several occasions that he hoped to work on season 13. He didn’t reveal the plot or name the cast members who would reprise their roles because season 13 was never discussed. Jim Parsons discovered that his years of wearing superhero T-shirts and dropping scientific monologues had come to an end, so the series ended with season 12. Along with his cast members, Parsons enjoyed hefty paychecks for the series but realised his time as Sheldon was over.
He believed that the team had done everything they could with the show, so there was no reason to keep going. Parsons and his cast mates have since moved on to different projects, which allow them to experiment with newer characters. Unfortunately, this means Penny and Leonard’s mini-Sheldon will continue to be an unfulfilled dream!
