Fantasy period drama Outlander Season 6 official release date has been impacted as coronavirus sparks fear in Glasgow.
The time-travel drama Outlander Season 6 shooting has come to a standstill ever since the United Kingdom government has taken cognizance of the rampant spread of coronavirus.

Outlander Season 5 premiered on Starz on February 16, 2020. Meanwhile, the broadcaster confirmed the back-to-back renewals of season 5 and 6 in 2018.
Outlander 6 underwent production only in February this year. However, one month into the shooting, the filming has been stalled due to the coronavirus lockdown. Therefore, Outlander Season 6 will only complete the filming of all its 12-episodes by year-end.

The entire footage will then undergo extensive editing in its post-production phase. Thus, it is out of the question to expect the sixth season’s release date any time before 2020.
In lieu of the aforementioned details, you can also expect Outlander Season 6 to release only in mid-2021.
Season 7 future
The British series is based on Diana Gabaldon’s novel of the same name. The first season of the epic drama series was based on Gabaldon’s first novel Cross Stitch. Meanwhile, the second season was based on the second book authored by her called Dragonfly in Amber.

The author has so far penned a total of nine books. Therefore, it can be anticipated that Outlander is at least expected to have a minimum of nine seasons.
