Amidst a global pandemic that isn’t a zombie apocalypse, ‘The Walking Dead’ Season 10 ended one episode early. Not only is the episode airing this year, but season 11 of ‘The Walking Dead’ is also on its way.
‘The Walking Dead‘ has sent several characters out of the show over the years and the upcoming 11th season will be no different. And, while the show’s upcoming season has been delayed, the audience is yet to see the finale for season 10.
Highlights
- ‘The Walking Dead’ is changing lanes in Season 11
- ‘The Walking Dead’ season which never ended
- A special event of ‘The Walking Dead’
Before the finale for season 10 could premiere, the coronavirus pandemic took over, postponing the episode indefinitely. But, for the fans, here is what we know so far about the future of ‘The Walking Dead’.
‘The Walking Dead’ is changing lanes in season 11
We saw the Alexandrian survivors amid panic as Beta (Ryan Hurst) made his way towards their camps with a group of walkers in Season 10. And now that the Alpha is gone, the future looks bleak. Beta is going to step up into the leadership role and people are going to be taking a stand against their Beta and the Whisperers.
But it seems like they will have to top their game if they want to defeat the Whisperer leader, especially as the group is all broken up. Three of their strongest fighters are out looking for Eugene’s (Josh McDermitt) girlfriend.

While the other two- King Ezekiel (Khary Payton) and Yumiko (Eleanor Matsuura) have come face to face with one of the most interesting characters the show has witnessed so far- newcomer Princess (Paola Lazaro). So, what went down in Season 10?

‘The Walking Dead’ season which never ended
In the last season of ‘The Walking Dead’, the tension between the Whisperers and the communities rose. The peace that Carol, Michonne, Daryl, and Ezekiel fought for so hard, along with the rest of the survivors, can turn into a cold war anytime.
One of the strongest seasons yet, the war between our zombie apocalypse heroes and creepy, skin-mask wearing villains, it was an exciting, well-filmed, and well-acted season which ended before the finale, thanks to a real-life non-zombie plague.
Then there is the introduction of Princess, who takes the group the long way around to find new wheels after spooking their horses, only because she hadn’t had any human connection in months and was feeling super lonely. (And, if at this point she isn’t the most relatable character of 2020, then who is?) So, when will we see the future of Princess and her comrades?
A special event of ‘The Walking Dead’
The final episode of season 10 will air sometime later this year, as a one-hour special event, and is named, “A Certain Doom”.
Even though there is no official release date set, showrunner Angela Kang informed the fans that the writers of the show are already cranking away on the script for Season 11. And, as for the fan-favourite Lauren Cohan, who plays Maggie in the show, she will be seen reprising her role as a series regular in the upcoming season.
In the meantime, re-runs of a show depicting zombie-apocalypse sound better than what the current events in the world have transpired for us. So, get on to it.
