Constantly checking Instagram is finally worth it! ‘Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life’ Season 2 is coming soon as per their Instagram page.
‘Friends‘ announced their reunion via Instagram, and the stars of ‘Sex and the City‘ did the same in January 2021 for their long-awaited reboot. Although ‘Gilmore Girls‘ showmaker hasn’t made an official announcement yet, their recent Instagram activity is teasing that season 2 of ‘Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life’ is in the works.

‘Gilmore Girls’ hints revival like ‘Sex and the City’
The official Instagram page of ‘Gilmore Girls’ isn’t always active. When it does become active, though, fans take notice. In recent weeks, the profile has posted a couple of seriously interesting photos with captions that indicate something could be happening in Stars Hollow.
‘Gilmore Girls’ official Instagram account posted a picture of Luke Danes looking at rings with Kirk Gleason. The hint for the revival was in the caption, “Is it time to pop the question?”
Even before the serious chatter about the revival of ‘Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life’ Season 2 began, another picture was shared on the same account. This time, it showed Rory Gilmore chatting on her phone while moving into the Yale dorms for her sophomore year of college. The picture definitely doesn’t hint at anything interesting, but the caption can’t be ignored that reads, “Things are getting heated!”
Generally, ‘Gilmore Girls’ Instagram remains inactive unless there’s any release of a new season. But it has gone active without any big announcement of revival. Fans believe that the ‘Gilmore Girls’ team is following suit of ‘Sex and the City’ or ‘Friends’ who announced their reboot through Instagram.

While the two posts might not seem like a big deal when seen individually, when you join the captions together, it seems like ‘Gilmore Girls’ is trying to tell fans something. What could be that something? Though it is still a mystery and Netflix has not made an official announcement, we can assume that we are close to some big news.

Last year, the profile manager of ‘Gilmore Girls’ Instagram account posted a few quotes from the show. We thought something is going to happen, but still, nothing came of it.
Later, for a long period of time, the profile had gone dormant. In October 2020, it reactivated to publicize UpTV’s 2-day marathon. The very next month, the profile announced ‘Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life’ screening on network TV. However, their current activity on Instagram doesn’t appear to be tied to any television special.
What will happen on ‘Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life’ Season 2?
The showmaker has expressed her interest in reviving ‘Gilmore Girls’ and being in the world of Stars Hollow once more. Lauren Graham, one of the key players, who portrayed Lorelai Gilmore, has openly stated that she’d like to return. Keiko Agena, (who plays Lane Kim on the show), also said she’d happily head back to Connecticut for another season. The only thing that is needed now is a thumbs-up from Netflix.
The story will continue from where it ended. Yes, life came full circle for Rory and Lorelai on ‘Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life’ finale when Rory said those four words. Lorelai inaugurated the series by saying the same four words to her mother on season 1 of the parent series.
It would be interesting to see how Rory will manage the kid in this decade. Let us know in the comments box below if you are interested to see the next segment of ‘Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life’.
