From Captain Marvel to the recent Nissan ad, Brie Larson knows how to advocate feminism right.
- Brie Larson has a very strong female fanbase.
- Her advocacy for feminism, equal right, female empowerment, and more sets her apart and popular in the industry.
- Her movies stand testimony to her personality.
Women have been battling against the world for equal rights for years. Waves of feminism have been crashing the shores of patriarchy and it is safe to say that us women are doing it perfectly and how.
Of course, there’s still a long long way to go for the idea of gender equality and female empowerment to reach every nook and cranny of the world. But we’re on it and we have some incredible women who’ve broken the glass ceiling to look upto. One of those crusaders is Brie Larson.
Brie Larson needs no introduction, does she?
Out of many women who’ve been killing it in their respective line of work, there’s one who’s been no lesser than a superhero for all of us. Be it in reel life or in real life, Brie Larson has been an inspiration, a fighter, and a superhero through and through.
Having been known to advocate workplace equality, female empowerment, she has been setting examples for the same.
It is a hit if she’s in it!
It is the support of millions of women that makes Brie Larson a household name. So, it doesn’t come as a surprise that every movie she does walks down the fate of a blockbuster. Starring as Marvel Cinematic Universe’s first-ever female superhero Captain Marvel, she has become a personification of feminism and power.
In a recent interview with MarieClair she talks about not having to compromise in the industry-
“[My] concept of no compromise is asking for that seat at that table and not compromising within oneself. Of course there are aspects outside of ourselves that we can’t always be in control of. But believing in ourselves and asking for what we deserve and what we feel is right is such a huge step. That concept of ‘undervaluing’ is what ends up initially holding us back. There have been times that I’ve undervalued myself, and it’s been part of my growth as an individual to learn how to be a better advocate for myself.”
Everyday is Women’s day
While many were celebrating people like on International Women’s day a few days ago, she has been advocating upliftment, celebration, empowerment, and strength every single day. Maybe that’s why all her movies and advertisements stand testimony to her beauty as a woman and as an actor. No doubt, she is one of the top actors in the industry.
Her upcoming movie Captain Marvel 2 will be out sometime in 2022. She will again be seen donning the power suit and showing the world what a badass she is.
