The Marvel Cinematic Universe has been very smooth in bringing its characters back from the dead. It has become a fashion of sorts.
Highlights
- The MCU is going really big on cloning.
- Captain Marvel is on a killing spree against the Avengers
- S.H.I.E.L.D. has been cloning the Avengers without their knowledge
- Avengers 5 will have a cloned version of the original Avengers.
The latest being that of Loki. He died in Thor: The dark world and came back in Thor: Ragnarok only to die again in Avengers: Infinity War. Thanks to all the time-travel drama, he came back alive in Avengers: Endgame.

Also, the same dead and alive scene is very much raging in the comics too. Captain Marvel was apparently instructed by Vox Supreme to kill Thor and Iron Man. She brings them dead, for she was told that he would kill the Kree refugees if she didn’t do the said task. However, the twist is that she gets the clones instead of the real two and hides them in Singularity to avoid them from getting discovered.
Cloning cure for the win
Now that we’ve seen some really major characters die in Avengers: Endgame, could they be revived in the form of their clones? Well, who knows, everything is possible in the MCU.
If you remember, even Nick Fury in the latest Spider-Man stand-alone movie was a skrull clone. Now the question is, could MCU afford to upset its fan base of billions by killing the most loved characters?
They better come up with something.

Marvel-lousness on its way
Going by the comics, Captain Marvel #13 presents the readers with a huge revelation. Wondering what it could be? Before I let you in on this, let me tell you that this one has the potential to disrupt and transform the plot of the upcoming Avengers 5. Caught your attention, didn’t I?
Project Gemini by S.H.I.E.L.D. has already cloned all the Avengers except Robbie Reyes.
Well, the most shocking part of it all is that it could really bring back all the original Avengers in the upcoming Avengers 5. Wouldn’t that be interesting?
Of course, there’s a twist.
Vox Supreme has been working on their dead bodies to transform them into some sort of a weapon. Only that he doesn’t know that Carol actually brought to him the clones. However, this might give birth to a very villainous league of Kree powered Avengers.
With new and the old Avengers in Avengers 5, it might be a war between the world’s mightiest heroes. Only that one of the teams will not really be the good old Avengers, instead the cloned puppet of Vox Supreme. Interesting, right?
After having connected the comic version with an anticipated movie one, this is what I think is very much possible.
