No, we are not cross-checking Indian film director Sooraj Barjatia’s full family entertainment movies like Hum Sath-Sath Hain. We are talking about Netflix’s Fuller House. Bringing tears to casts’ and fans’ eyes alike, the Netflix’s spin-off of 1987 American sitcom Full House finally wrapped up for good on June 2, 2020. The leader of the She-gang, Candace Cameron-Bure aka DJ Tanner told E! News, “I can play DJ Tanner for the rest of my life. I would do it forever if the audience and the network want it.”
Fuller House was cancelled due to viewership issues?
Airing first in 2016, the Full House spin-off was called off in season 4 itself due to the huge drop in viewership. However, the writers’ room wanted to do justice to the iconic characters, therefore Netflix decided to end the show with season 5.
One of the main reasons why Fuller House failed to capture viewers’ attention was that it wasn’t full at all. It focused on the older Tanner sisters – DJ and Stephanie, and Kimmy, while their baby sister Michelle’s plot was cut out from the spin-off. As Cameron-Bure told herself, “Michelle was fascinating to watch considering she started on the original show as a baby. The show ended with Michelle gaining her memory back leading a sweet family union.”

The spin-off also didn’t focus on Stephanie, who recently became a mom of baby Danielle. All we heard of Danielle is of her gurgling, crying, and few sporadic appearances. In fact, there wasn’t any narrative about how Stephanie had been adjusting to becoming a mom.
Fuller House season 6 might be about Danielle?
The possibility is high. Although Netflix has been extremely secretive about the decision of pulling the plug on Fuller House in season 5, which let us tell you, was planned after season 6, Cameron-Bure revealed some plot points that were planned for season 6 before it was scrapped.
She said, “We aren’t informed about the other reasons as to why has the network made that decision of ending one season early. I think there are still so many stories left to be told in the Fuller House. Especially, of Stephanie’s baby Dani, she wasn’t highlighted much in season 5.”
“That was a bit disappointing and that was something that I would have wanted to see in season 6, her [Stephanie] truly raising a baby. And then we were supposed to find out she’s pregnant again at the end,” Cameron-Bure revealed. “I wanted to see a lot more storylines around the kids and the babies. That’s what made the original Full House so special in the first place because there you actually saw the stages and growth from an infant into a toddler.”

When Fuller House season 6 might come
Although no specific timeline has been announced from Netflix officials, the cast has some ideas. Andrea Barber, who played Kimmy in Fuller House, thinks the show might reboot in about 10 years when DJ and Kimmy’s oldest children would be in their late 20s. Some grandchildren of the She-gang would be mighty entertaining. Barber told in an interview, “We’ve seen DJ, Kimmy, and Stephanie since they were 5. I want to continue it into our 60s.”
Cameron-Bure too shared the same thoughts as Barber, “Who knows what will happen in 10 or 15 years? If another opportunity opens for a potential Fullest House, I know all of us would love to be back playing these characters again.”
So, that’s a wrap for Fuller House as of now. But as we have seen it after almost 10 years from Full House, so who is to say that a Fullest House won’t be out 10 years from now?
