Jesse Pinkman made it out alive in the end in Vince Gillian’s ‘Breaking Bad’ movie ‘El Camino’. This left the fans wondering if there will be another ‘Breaking Bad’ movie to let them in on what happens later.
The ‘Breaking Bad’ universe had been full of mysteries and excitement and it turns out the actor who played the role of Jesse Pinkman in the Breaking Bad movie wouldn’t mind taking a tour of the universe again. In a conversation with “People”, Aaron Paul talked about the possibility of a sequel.
Highlights
- Jesse Pinkman got his happy ending in ‘El Camino’
- AMC and Netflix may co-produce another ‘Breaking Bad’ movie.
- The plotline will essentially be based in Alaska.
“This was the exact ending I envisioned. Years ago, when the show was wrapping up, I was always hoping that Jesse would find some sort of inner peace and find a peaceful setting to call home and escape the chaos”.
“I think – I hope – that he has found that. If he wants to dive deep into this again then I’m all for it”, he added.
Let’s go back in time
‘El Camino’ picks up where the series left off. Jesse is still on the run in search of a new life where he won’t be under the threat of being locked down by the law. This gives rise to many possibilities for ‘Breaking Bad’ spin-offs.
Well, instead of the happy ending that Jesse got, there could be many other alternate endings that can very well lead up to another movie in the ‘Breaking Bad’ universe. After all, he had changed his identity and started living in Alaska for good. Who knows if this could lead to anything more.

Breaking it Bad again?
Vince Gilligan is not really opposed to the idea of a sequel. However, he doesn’t want to overstay his welcome in the ‘Breaking Bad’ universe.
“I gotta probably figure out a whole new story that’s not in the ‘Breaking Bad’/’Better Call Saul’ universe to work on next”, said Gilligan to “Variety”. “I don’t want to overstay my welcome, so we’ll see how this one goes. Never say never, but it’s probably time I do something new”.

The next movie could be about Jesse’s adventures in Alaska. He may pull a Walter White and get back to Albuquerque, or he might as well encounter one of his living enemies in Alaska to spice up the story. Leave it to Vince Gilligan to send you spiralling.
Say Goodbye to Walter White
If there happens to be a sequel to ‘El Camino’, it is a given that we won’t be seeing Walter White, for he died in ‘Breaking Bad’s’ season finale. However, if the sequel focuses on a time gap in the series when he was alive, we might be in for some treat. ‘El Camino’ aired on AMC and later dropped on Netflix as well.
We have been contemplating whether it would be perfect if AMC and Netflix decided to co-produce the movie. Since the two giants have enormous following and production units set out to blow the market, a movie sequel for ‘El Camino’, co-produced by these two could very well turn out to be a hit.
Vince Gilligan left many loose ends in the plot. It is incredibly amazing how he finally gave some closure to Pinkman’s story. However, there are many other characters in the movie that can use some of their own storylines too. This brings us to a possibility of another movie coming out under the jointly-owned banner of AMC and Netflix.
