The Greatest Show ever made on TV, Breaking Bad had a world populated by antagonists. In this world of crime, no character was free from crime, disgust, and ambitions leading to violence. The USP of Breaking Bad was its characters, their arcs, and their acts performed out of some filthy desire.
Walter White, bored from his daily life, begin cooking Meth and starts enjoying the power in his hands while everything around him keeps crushing beneath his ambitions. There was no turning back for any character in the midst of the Journey.

All these elements gave Breaking Bad certain level of intensity and freshness that kept viewers hooked. But while trying to achieve the intensity, Breaking Bad also received hatred from fans for a few storylines. These were the disturbing storylines in Breaking Bad in which characters, including Walt and Jesse, crossed every possible limit.
The Most Disturbing Breaking Bad Storylines: Walter ‘killing’ Jane.
After immense suffering, Jessie finally found love and happiness in Jane. However, when Jane discovered that Walt is holding Jesse’s hard-earned money, she begins blackmailing him. Walt also believed that Jane was dragging Jesse back to drug addiction, and was threatening their business. This resulted in hatred between Jane and Walt.
On the night Walt sneaked into Jesse’s apartment to have a word with him. He found Jesse and Jane unconscious on the bed in the effect of too much heroin. In a few moments, Walt found Jane choking. Though he instinctively went ahead to help her, then he stood there looking at her chocking and eventually dying. This was extremely disturbing for the audience as they watched Jesse breaking down.

Breaking Bad’s most disturbing storyline was when Walt lured Hank into a death trap. Hank was the only good guy in the entire Breaking Bad show, and the audience adored him. When Hank found out that Walt was Heisenberg, Walt tried to frame Hank with a fake DVD that pretended to be Hank’s self-confession of being Heisenberg.

The scale of threat forced Hank into acting out of panic. Hank convinced Jesse to help him find the money. When Walt finds out that Jesse brought Hank with him at the money location, he tried to stop Jack Welker and guys whom he hired to kill Jesse. However, things went out of control, and a shootout between DEA and the gang resulted in the heart-breaking death of Hank.

In the Season 5 Episode 5 “Dead Freight”, Walt, Jesse, and the gang pulled out a perfect robbery of methylamine from a Cargo train. Everything went as planned, and everything happened just perfectly. But a kid witnessed the robbery while riding a dirt bike around. The moment everyone saw the kid, they froze to calculate the possibilities.
Meanwhile, Todd, allowing no risk, pulled out his gun and shot the kid. It broke Jesse’s heart and threw off the audience in every way possible. There was no justification for it.
Breaking bad had all sorts of crime and punishment. The show was made to disturb you. But some disturbing storylines went so far in Breaking Bad that no character, including Walt, had any justification for their actions that led to it. Walt poisoning Broke. Walt killing Mike. Skyler and Walt’s marriage falling apart on the tip of the knife.
Walter Jr. wishing the death of Walt, which happens eventually. And many more such disturbing moments and storylines made characters like Walt and Jesse the best Television character ever and Breaking Bad the greatest show ever.
