The encounter was a result of a gunfight between security forces and militants in Dadsara village, Tral area South Kashmir’s Pulwama
Zakir Rashid Bhat who is more commonly known as Zakir Musa, was reportedly encountered. This occurred on Thursday evening when joint security forces trapped him around his home in Dadsara village in Tral area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama.
The security forces were working on the input that Musa had come to visit home. Apparently, he was also given the option to surrender, but he did not comply.
Zakir Musa was previously a commander of Hizbul Mujahideen which is a militant group. He joined it in 2013 while he was still pursuing engineering in a college in Punjab.
Internet services in the area have be shut down.
In addition to this, all the education institutions will remain closed on Friday.
