Rapper Cardi B joined the ‘Me Too’ movement as she opened up about a sexual assault ahead of her new music video release
Being sexually assaulted is a traumatising experience in one’s life; it would have been the same for Cardi B. The rapper appeared on the first episode of ‘Untold Stories of Hip Hop‘ and shocked her fans all over the globe. It indeed was an untold story.
Cardi B revealed that she was sexually assaulted by a photographer
The famous rapper told the host, Angie Martinez, about her experience as she let the cat of the bag. She revealed that the photographer in question exposed himself to her.
Cardi B narrated her sexual assault, “I’ll never forget how I went to shoot for this magazine and the photographer, he was trying to get close to me like, ‘Yeah, you want to get in this magazine?’ Then he pulled his d*ck out. I was so f*cking mad.”
How did she react to the assault? Cardi B told that she just grabbed her things and left as soon as she could. But the ‘Me Too’ experience did not end there for the rapper.
When she told the magazine owner about the assault, Cardi B was taken aback by the reaction. “You know what’s so crazy?” she told. “I told the magazine owner and he just looked at me like: ‘So? And?'”
Sexual assaults such as these have become a part and parcel of the entertainment industry. “A lot of video vixens have spoke about this and nobody gives a f*ck. When I was trying to be a vixen, people were like, ‘You want to be on the cover of this magazine?’ Then they pull their d*cks out. I bet if one of these women stands up and talks about it, people are going to say, ‘So what? You’re a ho. It don’t matter.”
On the work front, Cardi B looked larger than life in the music video for French Montana’s new single, ‘Writing On The Wall.’ While she wore next to nothing throughout the video, she wooed her fans yet again.
