Marvel brings Ultraman to their universe. Ultraman (is a Japanese pop culture icon in case you haven’t crossed paths with the character yet) might prove to be a threat to the Avengers. The announcement of the collaboration was made at the Tokyo Comic Con leaving fans in a frenzy. Marvel Entertainment is joining hands to pen down Ultraman comics with Tsuburaya Productions.
The collaboration that will result in some amazing comic books and graphic novels, will be a treat for fans of both manga and comics
Marvel Brings Ultraman, Where Does That Leave The Avengers?
Born in the 1960s in Japan, Ultraman’s journey to success took off almost instantly. So much so, that he got various spinoffs (including a Netflix series) in his name. But, how then, can Ultraman be a threat to the Marvel’s Avengers? Well, the answer is all in the numbers.

Within two decades, from 1966 to 1987, Ultraman became a brand and swept in $7.5 billion merchandise revenue! (As of the 21st century, that would mean $16 billion).

“Marvel brings in Ultraman” is probably the biggest trending news in the Marvel Universe right now. The superhero is an icon for manga lovers. So much so that he has his own show on Netflix. And as he joins hands with Marvel, his fan base will not just be limited to manga. Marvel fans will get to know Ultraman and eventually fall in love with him.

On the other hand, Avengers are already at a peak of their popularity on Earth.
Unless Elon Musk discovers a new planet that is devoid of superheroes, there isn’t much scope for the Avengers’ popularity to grow
But on the other hand, as Marvel brings Ultraman, there is a huge scope for his rise as the 21st-century superhero. Also, standing 40 meters tall, Ultraman would make Iron Man, Hulk (and even Thanos) look like man-childs. (And 40 meters isn’t even the tallest Ultraman height).
