Marvel is introducing a new Captain America in the comic universe. (After all, the current Captain America is not invincible and had to be replaced someday). The next in line is a ‘she’ and she should beware DC’s Wonder Woman just like the former Captain.
Whenever talks about Captain America vs Wonder Woman surface, it is the latter that wins the discussions. Captain America is surely not invincible. While the MCU movies are passing over the role to Sam Wilson, the comics are thinking out of the superhero stereotype box and have chosen a female, Roberta Mendez, for the role.
Many people saw the striking similarities between the ‘Wonder Woman’ and ‘Captain America’ movies. And suddenly everyone was talking about who would win when it went down to Wonder Woman vs Captain America. Now with a new Captain America in the picture, (in terms of their powers) it seems the answer will remain the same.
Marvel vs DC Cinematic Universes
Now that a new (female) Captain America is in town, it would be ignorant on MCU’s part to not bring her to the silver screen. With all the comparisons being made when it comes to Captain America vs Wonder Woman, it will be beneficial for MCU to take lessons from its contemporary superhero powerhouse, DC.
We have seen that since the past couple of years female superheroes are creating a wave of thrill among superhero fanatics before and after the movies. Brie Larson’s Captain Marvel was such an attempt by Marvel which did not land as planned. But on the other hand, Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman was welcomed with open arms. Now with another major female superhero (Captain America) in the picture, Marvel has a chance to it right.
What’s more, the new female Captain America character does not need to be bound in the limits set with the old Avenger character. There is a whole world of possibilities as the new character takes flight. And the next time it comes to Captain America vs Wonder Woman, you never know, the former might let the world a peek at some of her hidden powers that will defeat the Amazonian.
