In a shocking incident, a 41-year-old man set a Kyoto Animation company ablaze. Anime fans all over the globe are deeply saddened and sending their prayers to the victims. Reportedly, the man screamed “You die!” and subsequently set fire to the entrance after dousing it with a flammable liquid.

Moreover, officials confirmed that 33 people died in the fire. Not only this, but 36 more were injured, some of them very critically.
A failed escape
Why this event took place at all is a mystery. The motives behind this gruesome act have not surfaced. In fact, the man who started the fire at the Kyoto animation studio was himself injured from it.
In fact, he burned his feet, hands, and chest. Though he tried to make a run and escape but collapsed nearby. He is now in custody.
Later, the police confirmed that he has never been an employee of the Kyoto Animation Company which is more popularly known as KyoAni.
Japan’s PM, Shinzo Abe, put forward his condolences and called the event an “arson murder spree.”
He tweeted, “Today, in the arson murder case that occurred in Kyoto, there are a large number of casualties, and I lose a word for much misery. I pray for the happiness of the deceased. I would like to express my sympathies to the injured people and pray for a quick recovery. “
