With this, Viola Davis joins a long series of influential women like Celine Dion, Aja Naomi King, Courtney Cox, Camila Cabello, Eva Longoria, Vanessa Williams, and Helen Mirren.

L’Oreal has been very devoted to encouraging self-worth and inclusivity for quite some time now. Added to that, L’Oreal’s new face, Viola Davis will only enhance their idea. Davis’ incredible career on the screen and as a humanitarian adds on to L’Oreal Paris’ message of inclusivity.
With the pop culture influencing all the wrong things, steps like these help break through stereotypes that are taking shape day-by-day. We often see people (and celebrities) hiding their real age. But L’Oreal’s newest face Viola Davis has not shied away from revealing her age. She is 54 and confident about it. This sends out a strong message and is an answer to all hollow stereotypes about women and their self-worth.
With modern times, many beauty brands are turning towards realism.
Beauty Brands are no longer thinking twice before showing off their freckles
Afterall, freckles are the truth, aren’t they?
Because we are worth it!
L’Oreal is proud of its newest face, Viola Davis. Global brand president for L’Oreal Paris, Delphine Viguier-Hovasse, said in a statement, “We are thrilled to welcome Viola as a member of our family. Viola’s tenacity, authenticity, and bold spirit resonate with and inspire so many people. She challenges the status quo in all aspects of life and her drive to succeed has proven itself time after time—she leads by example and is the perfect conduit to elevate our core message, ‘Because I’m Worth It.’”
“As a young girl, I wasn’t always told that I was smart, beautiful, or worthy,” Viola Davis said. “I worked tremendously hard to get where I am today—overcoming feelings of doubt to become a woman who truly believes I am ‘worth it’ in every way. I believe it’s so important to build confidence in women from a young age and to role-model diverse perspectives of beauty. To now be part of a brand that has been championing women’s worth for more than 40 years and to use my voice to help empower others is truly surreal.”
