The upcoming Amazon series of ‘Lord of the Rings’ has finally found its director. Even when the announcement of a remake of the epic series excited everyone, it remained directionless without a director. But now, it as bagged a director. And a good one at that. Its, J.A. Bayona. Everyone feared that none could do justice to the Lord of the Rings screenplay. But with J.A Bayona’s experience, we might just have some hope. He has been signed for two episodes. Apart from directing, Bayona would also be in the shoes of executive producer of the series.
Amazon LOTR series has finally found its director! And he might just do justice to the project.

While he has the big responsibility of directing Lord of the Rings, the director comes from a diverse background in various genres of movies. In fact, you would very well recognize his most recent work – Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. This movie took home $1.3 billion after wooing audience globally. Apart from this, Bayon directed ‘The Orphanage’, ‘The Impossible’ and ‘A Monster Calls’.

In fact, he is very excited to start work on Lord of the Rings series. Bayona said, “J.R.R. Tolkien created one of the most extraordinary and inspiring stories of all time, and as a lifelong fan it is an honor and a joy to join this amazing team. I can’t wait to take audiences around the world back to Middle-earth and have them discover the wonders of the Second Age, with a never-before-seen story.”
The three movie series of Lord of the Rings was directed by Peter Jackson. All these movies went on to win 17 Academy awards in total. Whether Bayon is able to produce such a result or not, only time will tell.
