If you thought a ‘Two and a Half Men’ reboot after 6 years would surprise you, we wonder what hell will be unleashed if Charlie Sheen and Ashton Kutcher star as the new lead pair.
Created by Chuck Lorre and Lee Aronsohn, ‘Two and a Half Men’ premiered on CBS on 22 September 2003, starring Charlie Sheen, Jon Cryer, and Angus T. Jones as the lead trio. In its 12-season run, ‘Two and a Half Men‘ secured its position as one of the most-watched comedies in America, attracting over 15 million viewers.

Is ‘Two and a Half Men’ reboot a real possibility?
The reboot fever has taken the industry by a storm. But the ‘Two and a Half Men’ situation is a unique one. With the former lead Charlie Sheen getting fired for bad-mouthing producer Chuck Lorre and with Sheen’s recurrent drug abuse problems, ‘Two and a Half Men’ halted production mid-season in 2011. Then came as his replacement – Ashton Kutcher. Unfortunately, Walden Schmidt couldn’t really fill in the gigantic shoes of the charismatic Charlie Harper. The ratings plummeted almost immediately.

Speaking with “ExtraTV” about the chances of a ‘Two and a Half Men’ reboot, Sheen revealed,
“There hasn’t been any discussion so far. But if it were to emerge, I’d be in the front and centre of it”.
It’s hard to imagine ‘Two and a Half Men’ without Alan Harper. But when Jon Cryer was asked about the possibility of a reboot, his answer wasn’t something that fans expected.
“If you decide to bring that [the show and Sheen] back into your life, that’s a big ask at this point”, confessed Cryer on the ‘The Stephanie Miller Show’.
When Cryer was asked about joining Sheen for a ‘Two and a Half Men’ reboot, he said on “Access”,
“It’s kind of a roller coaster when you have Charlie in your life, and I just haven’t decided to get on that roller coaster”.
Clearly, Cryer’s out of the picture.

Kutcher-Sheen’s infamous social media showdown
When Ashton Kutcher’s Walden Schmidt replaced Charlie Sheen as the lead, Sheen didn’t take it well. He went on to publicly shame Kutcher and his performance. While praising his former side-kick Cryer’s act on the show, Sheen called Kutcher “lame” and asked him to “quit barfing on my old, brilliant show“.

He later added: “Hey relax everyone! read the hashtag! oh and Jon I’m so sorry I insulted your sidekick I meant REALLY lame c.”
Sheen did not stop at that. He went on a shaming rampage on Twitter.
Charlie Sheen uses Twitter as his battleground
In 2012, Sheen told “TMZ”,
“I’m tired of lying … I’m tired of pretending the show doesn’t suck … I’m tired of pretending Ashton doesn’t suck”.
The one-sided banter escalated to such an extent that Ashton Kutcher lost his cool on ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’ in 2014. “Dude shut the fuck up! Enough already. It’s three years later and you’re still blowing me up on Twitter. Come on dude, really?”
To everyone’s surprise, Charlie took to Twitter to apologise for his bitter words.
He tweeted:
“Ashton, message received. so sorry, u sounded like me! well done! my bad I was pissed at other crap & took it out on you. hope u r good xox c.”
But minutes later, he added:
“But news flash Dood, you ever tell me to shut the F*** up, EVER again, and I’ll put you on a hospital food diet for a year. c #YaFeelMe Jr?”
Probably, this is how their relationship is supposed to be on screen. How else would you expect Charlie Harper to react upon seeing Walden Schmidt, the guy who hijacked his beach house and replaced him in Alan’s life?

Roberta just dropped a major hint about the ‘Two and a Half Men’ reboot
If you thought Kutcher and Sheen could be a thing in the rumoured ‘Two and a Half Men’ reboot, this hint by Roberta will simply blow your mind. While wrapping up ‘Two and a Half Men’ Season 12, she tells Alan,
“I believe if you move out and Charlie stays here with Walden, we can keep this going for another five years”.
The fire between Ashton Kutcher and Charlie Sheen has cooled down and this year Charlie will be celebrating three years of sobriety. As of today, the former ‘Two and a Half Men’ star Sheen seems to have a positive attitude towards life and work. He has even openly accepted how his erratic behaviour due to drug abuse caused trouble on set and also in his life.
The new and sober Sheen wants a ‘Two and a Half Men’ reboot to bid a final goodbye to the show that shot him to fame, making him a household name and one of the highest-paid actors of his time (over $1.8 million per episode). So, what better than a special ‘Two and a Half Men’ season with Charlie Sheen and Ashton Kutcher in the lead? We’d say it’s winning!
