Numerous singers are visiting India to reach out to their increasing fan base. Katy Perry is the latest to join them
Katy Perry is all set to make Mumbai groove to her tunes in November. The Grammy-nominated singer is coming to perform at OnePlus Music Festival on November 16 and fans can’t keep their cool. But this is not the first time that Perry would be visiting India (the first being her own marriage in Rajasthan). This is the first time she would be performing in Mumbai.
Katy Perry is excited about coming to India in November. She quoted, “I am so happy to be returning to India and excited to headline my first-ever performance in Mumbai. I am looking forward to seeing and singing with all of my Indian KatyCats at the OnePlus Music Festival.” The singer married comedian-actor Russell Brand in Rajasthan in 2010. But later, the couple parted ways.
Apart from that, Carl Pei, who is the co-founder of OnePlus, said, “We are super excited that Katy Perry will be starring in our first-ever OnePlus Music Festival in India. We decided to host this festival to share our passion for music with our community, which is at the heart of everything we do. With Katy on board, this is sure to be a one-of-a-kind experience.”
A Global Pop-Star
Katy Perry fans are in a frenzy that she will be in India in November. The managing director and CEO of Universal Music Group (India, South and Asia) Devraj Sanyal added, “Katy is a not only a massive global pop superstar with a big Indian fan base, but is someone who has been relevant for some time now, starting with Teenage Dream to Prism and Witness, and now her newest singles ‘Never really over’ and Small Talk.”
Furthermore, he added, “Her songs have been legends for her Indian fans and they can’t wait to see her perform in Mumbai.”
Who else is coming?

Also, another big name in the global music world will be landing in India: Wiz Khalifa. The rapper will be taking over Delhi and Mumbai on 14 and 15 September.
