Robert Garrison played the role of Tommy in The Karate Kid and The Karate Kid: Part II

Robert Garrison, who played the role of Tommy in the famous Karate Kid movie of 1984, died at 59. Later, his publicist, Rick Henriques, confirmed the death to the Hollywood Reporter. He said, “It is a huge loss to the Karate Kid and Cobra Kai family,” Henriques said. “He was a great guy and a great actor.”
While no cause of death has been disclosed, Garrison was reportedly in hospital for over a month

Robert Garrison appeared in both The Karate Kid and The Karate Kid: Part II. He was famous for his catchphrase from the movie, “Get him a body bag!”
Moreover, apart from Karate Kid, the actor recently made an appearance in the second season of the YouTube TV series, Cobra Kai.
Twitterati paid tribute to the actor. And one of the first among the tweets was that from Cobra Kai writer-producer Jon Hurwitz. Jon Hurwitz tweeted,
“I’m heartened to know how much Rob enjoyed and cherished his time working on Cobra Kai. We were looking forward to seeing his smiling face again this season, as we had plans for Tommy to ride again. But he’ll remain in our thoughts every day as we strive to make him proud. #RIP.”
The Karate Kid and Cobra Kai actor, Robert Garrison, will be missed by many. The official handle of Cobra Kai too paid tribute to the actor. “We’re saddened by the sudden passing of Rob Garrison, who delighted Karate Kid and Cobra Kai fans alike for generations. Our thoughts are with his family during this time.”
Fans of the famous movie, Karate Kid, were left in disbelief after Robert Garrison’s death. Some even claimed that the actor met his fate due to cancer. But nothing has been confirmed yet.
