After three years of marriage, Kaley Cuoco and Karl Cook announced their separation on September 3, 2021. The actress stated “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for her divorce in court records acquired by “Us Weekly“. Cuoco asked the court not to give Cook spousal support, and she also declined to request it.
The estranged couple revealed in a joint statement that their divorce was mutual. However, they did express their love and respect for one another. They wrote together that, despite their deep love and respect for one another, they had realised that their current paths had taken them in opposite directions.
