Dark season 3 is under the wraps and the fans can’t wait to see more mind-numbing revelations.
Netflix and chilling has become a sacred ritual for millennials these days. Well, I am not even guilty of jumping into the Bandwagon. The content on OTTs are literally over the top and incredibly nice. This makes me come to Netflix’s first German science fiction and thriller series Dark. It would be an understatement to say that I was impressed with it. Hell, I was blown away.
HIGHLIGHTS —
- Dark Season 3 release date.
- Crazy theories about the upcoming season.
- The alternate reality

The series is full of absolutely unpredictable turns. Set in a small town, that goes by Winden, in Germany, the story takes place after the disappearance of a kid. It spans across three generations of four families that share deep secrets. Add time travel to it all and you get an absolutely thrilling adventure of a series.
Dark effortlessly keeps its viewers engaged with its insane shenanigans that create an order of sorts. It is heartbreaking at times and very much a groundbreaking series at that.
When is it possibly releasing?
Dark season premiered December 2017 followed by a brief hiatus, after which the second season was released in July 2019. The wait was worth it. However, Dark season 3 is in the cards and is highly likely to hit the screens in December 2020. Can’t wait for the end of the year, right!

Looking back and making sense of it all.
Jonas has been running back and forth the past, present, and future to save the people he loves from an impending disaster. The series revolves around an epic battle between good and evil.
Dark season 3 is done being shot and the anticipation about what is now going to happen is too much to handle. The inescapable fate in the series is one of the key factors determining its trajectory. The god particle is what makes the time travel possible and is housed at Winden’s nuclear power plant.

Furthermore, the phenomenon of a never-ending cycle of realities is explained by the show’s time machine creator H.G Tannhaus, “an object or information from the future is sent back to the past that creates a never-ending cycle in which each object no longer has any real origin. It exists without having been created.”
Some crazy revelations which will lay the foundation to the third season are –
Jonas is himself the antagonist Adam, 66 years in the future, Claudia is the who people know as the White Devil, Jonas had to see his father Michael kill himself again to start up the bootstrap paradox loop and aid in the upcoming battle, Noah the priest is Charlotte’s father, and Charlotte’s daughter Elisabeth is her own mother and lastly, Martha is alive but in another dimension.

CRAZY, right! This explains not just the presence of different timelines, but also a whole new dimension. Dark season 3 is going to be the last leg of this mind-bending series.
What’s in the store for Dark season 3?
Thanks to Martha, now that we know that alternate realities exist, it is going to be one hell of a roller coaster ride in Dark Season 3. Adam has been plotting to end the never-ending cycle and here we are with another friggin’ dimension into play. This brings me to one of the photographs from Dark Season 3 production.
There have been many theories about the third installment of the series. One that particularly stood out was by u/E_v_a_n. It goes something like –
“In the last episode, we see that- Martha comes in Winden to pick up Jonas, and she tells him that she is not who he thinks she is. In the attached photo of Season 3, we can clearly see that Martha, Magnus, and Bartosz are clearly different from Martha, Magnus, and Bartosz. !Martha and Magnus are darker in color, whereas Bartosz seems to have a bit more weight and different hair. On the other hand, Jonas is the same, having scars on his neck.
The alternate reality–
When someone changes something in the original Winden timeline. And in that new reality some people might be the same but some not. I do not know yet how Jonas fits in the story of the new timeline, but I speculate that!
Martha and Magnus in that reality are actually the children of Ulrich and Hannah (from the original timeline). In other words, I think that Hannah (who has traveled in the ’80s to see Ulrich) somehow found a way to change timelines and realities, and in that new world, she married! Ulrich and had (at least)! Martha and Magnus! They look like Ulrich’s and Ulrich’s children, but they also have Hannah’s darker features.

I still do not know how Jonas fits in the story of an alternate reality, but considering that Jonas has both Hannah’s (his mother) and Ulrich’s (his grandfather) DNA, it is likely that in that alternate reality! Ulrich and Hannah could have another! Jonas could look quite similar to Jonas.”
This one surely makes a lot of sense.
The question is whether Jonas will be able to save Winden from an apocalypse? Will he have the courage to see his father kill himself again? Well, that and more will be clear in the upcoming final installment of Dark.
Till then, let us go back and try to understand the complex relations in the series again. It is exhausting, I swear.
