Just when you thought, Keanu Reeves couldn’t possibly have another Blockbuster Trilogy other than The Matrix, in comes a little action-packed trilogy, John Wick.
Highlights
- Wick and Widow at War?
- Humans Are Not Aliens and Aliens Are Dangerous
- Mortals Of Marvel VS Wick
The world of assassins, Russian mobs, epic action moments and a brooding Reeves with impressive storytelling. Reeves’ character in the movie though, fans have noticed, is pretty similar to someone from another impressive blockbuster universe. Russian, epic action moments, brooding, rings a bell?

Yup! Fans were quick to notice the similarities between Black Widow and John Wick and some fans took it a bit further. Would John survive in a confrontation with the Wicks of the Marvel Universe?
Let’s get down to it, shall we?
Wick and Widow at War?
Reeves’ character is lethal and strikes fear in the heart of the people living in the world. That sentence has a tiny catch, you see. While John Wick is feared by his enemies and his skills are feared and valued by those who want him out of their way, Wick deals mostly with mere mortals.
We know that because John Wick likes one thing, guns. Lots and lots of guns. We see him requesting for only that in John Wick Chapter 3 and that is his main weapon to use against his enemies.

There is no denying that Wick is not a normal human but a super-human given the ninja moves, killing someone while handcuffed and jumping from one floor to another, of course. But those who perish from the wrath of John Wick? Humans.
Humans Are Not Aliens and Aliens Are Dangerous
On the other hand, if we look at the history of Marvel Movies and the evil forces, the likes of Black Widow or Hawkeye have fought, it goes much beyond the realms of human beings and our planet Earth.
If you ask us to list out Black Widow aka Natasha Romanoff’s strengths and weaknesses, we wouldn’t have anything for you because she isn’t a god or can fly or immune to bullet wounds or is superfast. That’s because she is by all accounts just a human. What Romanoff does have is a very particular unique set of skills to her name.
Think of a skill one would need in a combat type situation and she has it. Trained in martial arts, unarmed combat (trained since she was a child), espionage, disguise, infiltration and every skill a human could possess, Black Widow is not only good at what she does, she is the best.
She is only second to Hawkeye who has the best shot in the world is super-fast, brilliant in combat and if we could use one word to describe him, fearless.
Mortals Of Marvel VS Wick
They have been long trained to fight not only humans but gods and aliens and other intergalactic forces. Black Widow is a trained assassin who would twist Wick’s gun, crush it and hand it back to him like it was a toy the second she got hold of him. In the past, we have seen her not only escape The Great Hulk but make him fall in love with her as well.
I don’t suppose The Hulk would fall in love with Wick or Wick would be able to outrun him with guns. But Hawkeye and Wick would have an almost equal fight as they share a very similar set of skills. One can only imagine the amount of kickass that would be in that scene.
Also, let’s not forget in John Wick Three we see Wick kill a man using his belt, disappear in and out of fights at a super-human speed and make it look oh-so-easy. Sure, the likes of him would not stand a chance against Thanos or Thor I suppose but the Mortals of Marvels?
Unless someone kills a dog, I think it’s safe to say they would have a slight upper hand in this fight having faced aliens and gods and foul creatures in and outside of planet Earth.
Whoever wins it will truly be a cinematic piece of history and one hell of a fight to enjoy. But what do you think? Let us know in the comments below!
