The actress and her fiancé Cooke Maroney were seen at the courthouse
Has Jennifer Lawrence secretly tied the knot? Well, there is a strong possibility that the answer to this question ‘Yes!’ On Monday, she was seen with her fiance Cooke Maroney at New York‘s marriage bureau. Not only this, but they were accompanied by a celebrity photographer too! Now, isn’t that almost a confirmation?
Jennifer Lawrence has (most probably) tied the knot
The 26-year-old was engaged to Cooke Maroney, an art gallery director, in February. And now the two have sparked rumours that Jennifer Lawerence and Maroney have secretly tied the knot. According to a Page Six report, they were accompanied by security guards, a friend, and celebrity photographer Mark Seliger. Nothing else shouts ‘married’ louder than bringing along a ‘celebrity’ photographer. (Why else would you take one to a courthouse?)
In fact, as per reports Jennifer Lawrence and Cooke Maroney were planning a luxurious wedding celebration in October this year. So, maybe this trip to the courthouse was a plan all along?
That’s not all. An onlooker took to Twitter to narrate the encounter at the courthouse. (Sadly, the tweet no longer exists). But this is what it read, “When you go get your marriage license and Jennifer Lawrence walks by to tie the knot before your eyes. Yeah, kids, City Hall is COOL. The place to go!”
Jennifer Lawrence talked about her decision to tie the knot on Catt Sadler’s podcast. “It was just, it was so organic,” she said. “I definitely wasn’t at a place where I was like, ‘I’m ready to get married.’ I just met Cooke and I wanted to marry him. We wanted to marry each other. We wanted to commit fully.”
Furthermore, Jennifer Lawrence said about Cooke Maroney, “He’s my best friend so I want to legally bind him to me forever. And fortunately, the paperwork exists for such a thing. It’s the greatest. You find your favorite person in the planet and you’re like, you can’t leave. So I wanted to take that offer.”
Well, it sure seems like the couple is really in love. So, an official announcement might not be very far away in the future.
