Will Vince Gilligan resurrect Walter White?
One of the byproducts of acting or creating a prestigious TV series is how actors and producers are hounded for years probing unanswered questions about that show. This is especially true for ‘Breaking Bad’ creator Vince Gilligan. Even 7 years after the show ended, he has been faced with one question: Why did he end the show when it was in its prime?
Gilligan has one answer to that. In a press interview, he said, “You shouldn’t leave the party too late. I have been extremely anxious about the idea of folks suddenly moving on, and after some years saying, ‘Is that show still on the air? I used to watch it. It used to be good’.
Also, there was a little bit of pressure from the studios [Sony]. They were saying, ‘Can you go a little longer? We’ve just now started to make money from this’. But, I wanted to leave the stage at the highest point. You want to leave the fans wanting more”.
Well, it rather seems like a well-crafted plan to keep the fans on edge. So, when after some years he is ready to reboot, there would be enough guaranteed viewership.

What made Walter White so relatable?
The evolution of Walter White from a hard-working, cancer-ridden teacher into a diabolical liar and meth king is a classic TV experience. It hits the fans hard to see such a law-abiding teacher suddenly get diagnosed with cancer, leading him to make drastic life decisions to pay his medical debts and secure his family’s future after his inevitable death. He goes into the meth-making business. His life turns to 180-degrees when his student Jessie Pinkman joins him and teaches him the basics of the business.
‘Breaking Bad’ is a story we all know will end with the death of Walter White, either by cancer or something else. So in the season 5 finale, when Walter is shown succumbing to death by gunshot wounds while fighting one of his biggest enemies, it leaves fans reeling. You sympathise with Jessie and Walter, you cheer them on when they succeed, and you despise them when they commit a crime – but at the end of the day, Walter White and Jessie Pinkman become more than fictional characters, they become real flesh and blood.

‘Breaking Bad’s’ tragic finale in season 5 has left fans devastated. Many couldn’t even wrap their head around it. Moreover, ‘El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie’ confirming Walter’s death definitely didn’t help the case. But that hasn’t stopped fans from assuming otherwise.
