Netflix ‘Suits’ confirms another spin-off series with Meghan Markle
Prince Harry and Meghan’s exit from the royal family or Megxit, as the journalists love to refer to it, has instilled hope in the hearts of the ‘Suits’ fans. The fans are demanding another spin-off of the Netflix series ‘Suits’ with Meghan Markle as the lead. When Meghan decided to quit the series due to her engagement to Prince Harry, the creators had to write her character (Rachel Zane) out.
The series had her and Mike Ross finally tie the knot with the decision to leave the Big Apple and run a class-action lawsuit-focused firm in Seattle. Though the narrative explanation was weak, the audience was happy that their favourite couple got the happily-ever-after they deserved.
Megxit has sparked demand of a spin-off series. While the royal fans are confused about the couple’s decision of notifying the queen about their exit, ‘Suits’ fans have got all the reasons to cheer and so has Aaron Korsh, the creator of ‘Suits’. He wants to make the best out of the Megxit clouds before it gets departed. And so, we may expect a spin-off series with Meghan as the lead soon.
Is Meghan Markle finally making a comeback in acting?
In a 2013 interview with Marie Claire, Meghan gushed over how much she loved doing ‘Suits’. She loved her character.
“I see Rachel as such a good friend. And when you play a character you love, it’s so much easier. I root for her; I am almost like a fan. If I wasn’t on the show, I would really love this show, because each of the characters is like someone you know”
she said. That said, it wouldn’t be too difficult for Meghan Markle to make a comeback in her acting career if the spin-off series were to happen – maybe! Fans were not very pleased with Katherine Heigl as Meghan Markle’s replacement in the Netflix series ‘Suits’. They took to Twitter to plead the network for seeding a spin-off that would feature Meghan as the lead. Here’s what they had to say.
Prince Harry and Meghan’s multiyear deal with Netflix
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle (the former star of the Netflix series ‘Suits’) have signed a multi-year deal with Netflix, which will pay them to make documentaries, feature films, scripted shows, and children’s programming. However, it’s unclear whether Meghan wants to take a crack at acting again or not. We assume that while Harry and Meghan have stepped down from the royal duties, they are still subjected to some standards by the monarchy as they are technically still part of it.
Anyway, if Meghan ever decides to step into acting, reprising Rachel will be her best bet. At this point, there is no indication that a new ‘Suits’ spin-off is happening. However, considering the situation at hand, the idea is much closer to reality than it ever was. What do you think? Will Meghan be seen again on the TV? Let us know in the comments.
