Eyes gouged out, one arm chopped off, body partly burnt, dumped in the garbage over Rs 10,000
India has again been shamed. There have probably been no lessons learned since the last time the whole country was brought to shame. It was a 3-year-old then, and it is a 3-year-old now. No laws could save the young child from reaching the undeserving fate she got. It seems like a re-enactment of the incident that occurred in Kashmir.
The little girl was barbarically choked by Mohammad Zahid. And why? Over a petty argument with the girl’s family. The argument was all about a meager loan amount of Rs 10,000.
The 3-year-old, Twinkle Sharma, was a resident of Tappal, Aligarh district, Uttar Pradesh.
Zahid cruelly choked Twinkle with a dupatta (scarf) and hid her body at his house in a straw bag. It was only after three days when the corpse started stinking, that Zahid threw Twinkle’s body in a pile of trash. It was a horrendous sight – her body was completely decomposed.
During interrogation, Zahid owned up to the crime. Further, he confessed that along with his friend Aslam, he had baited the child by offering biscuits to her.
The night before Twinkle disappeared; Zahid had threatened Twinkle’s family of dreadful consequences.
Circle Officer, Pankaj Srivastav confirmed that a manhunt was launched after the police recovered Twinkle’s decomposed body from a garbage dump on June 2. The villagers anxiously hoarded outside Tappal police station. They went on to demand a new station in-charge as the present authority had failed to provide security.
Subsequently, the near-by markets also remained closed for almost two hours, until the police managed to scatter the crowd.
Protestors sat on a hunger strike in front of Punjab National Bank on the Aligarh-Palwal route demanding justice for baby Twinkle.
The crime has shaken Bollywood and everyone has taken to Twitter
After the incident, it has become very clear that there is no place for innocence in the devil’s heart.
Is there ever going to be an end to this insane serious of rapes?
