Young Sheldon is inspired by Jim Parsons’ nephew Michael. The show debuted in 2017 and immediately created its niche fan-base, all thanks to The Big Bang Theory.

What The Big Bang Theory cast is upto now?
How the concept of Young Sheldon came?
The concept of Young Sheldon started with the idea to tell us why Sheldon is what is now. From TBBT, we already knew Sheldon had a difficult childhood, growing up in a troubled, dysfunctional family, walking on his dad cheating on his mom.
Being a genius, a different kid, Sheldon faced difficulties in socializing in school and college too. Imagine how jealous his older brother would have been when his younger brother got promoted four grades, making them classmates. It couldn’t have been any tougher.
Show creator Steve Molaro made him more annoying than what we see in TBBT, with the thought that young Sheldon is not fully aware of the depth of his genius. Molaro wanted younger Sheldon to be naive, despite his extraordinary brain.
Jim Parsons in Young Sheldon
Jim Parsons decided to quit The Big Bang Theory before the launch of season 12, leading to the demise of this legendary 12-year long sitcom.
However, Jim did not part with his character Sheldon Cooper completely. As the executive producer, Parsons is the narrator’s voice behind the show. That’s right. He is still living the role of Sheldon Cooper long after the end of TBBT.
Penny appeared in Young Sheldon
Yes! You might have noticed a scene from season 3 when Sheldon is talking to a swimming pool, the night after he had a nightmare. That’s when fans hear a voice from the pool luring Sheldon in. Speculation is that voice belongs of Kaley Cuoco, our own Penny.
Later, to Express, show maker Steve Molaro confirmed it. He said, “That was the voice of Kaley as the pool water. I told her, ‘Hey, I have a weird pitch for you. In a scene, Sheldon has this nightmare, and he needs to go to a pool and speak to the pool water. Do you want to voice the pool water?’ She just laughed and said, ‘Absolutely, I do’.”
Now, word around the street is that Kaley Cuoco is set to physically appear in Young Sheldon season 4. First Jim, now Kaley. Would you like to have miniature Leonard, Raj, Howard, Amy, and Bernadette too in Young Sheldon? Let us know in the comments section below.
